    You guys do a real efficient job with your cattle with that corral system. My youngest son and I will be doing some cutting of hay tomorrow, unfortunately we haven't had the rain in the past two months to promote very much growth. • @SirWhiteRabbit-gr5so
      @SirWhiteRabbit-gr5so 3 месяца назад +5

      Sometimes it's not the strike itself, but the transient voltage traveling in the ground. Their feet are far-enough apart that there's enough milli-amps to stop the heart. Horses are also prone to ground voltage.
      That's how people standing under a tree die from lightning.

    I got a BB gun before I completed all of the lessons of the birds and the bees. (Parental educational programming mishap). Grandpa caught me plunking the bull's cobblers while he was servicing one of the cows. "Whoa, whoa, whoa lad! What are you doing?" he said. "The bull is hurting the cows." I answered. It was only a matter of minutes before my education was advanced. At 8 years old I could hardly grasp the concept but at the threat of losing my BB gun the bull was left to do his work with no more BB stings.

    I am totally fascinated by the fact that you can drive your cattle across an open pasture to a pen you just dragged in and set up. Your cows must be wonderfully trained. My cows would need to look at it for at least a couple of months before even half of them would go near it! I have pens with lots and a working area on each place and their water tanks are in there, and I feed them and put out hay there also. I still have the odd one that knows something is up when I call them in, but most come running when they hear the cake feeder running feed into a bucket. I enjoyed it, thanks.
