Looking into next years season. My son will be 6yr old and first time playing. It will be tackle football. Any suggestions for a nice mid priced helmet? Not sure the speedflex and all should be the way to go with him still growing.

Hi, this isn’t too uncommon. Did the helmet have inflatable padding? The helmet sounds like it was too big. I would recommend you try a helmet that fits properly front-to-back and then swap the jaw pads out to compensate for the fitment ir try a helmet with inflatable pads so you can adjust as needed. I would say the Schutt Sports Varsity XV HD are the best option, but they are a little on the pricey end. If your looking for the best bang for your buck, I would recommend the BARNETT Vision I shoulder pads. I am by no means an expert nor do I play qb, but I hope this helps
