Fascinating vessel Gary, the use of variable speed clips and manual focusing, keeps the interest focused ('Scuse the pun )....Excellent work as always...Bob
We went to France on this a few years ago. A great way to travel. the kids loved it too, their hair blowing in the wind as we headed for France. So much faster than the conventional ferry.
We used to jetski out to meet these while they were still under power 3 miles off poole. The wake from the back was massive! You could launch and get huge air off it but the centre of the wake was aireated so much that you would sink 6 foot under on landing, which was nice n soft but stank of diesel. Happy days!
@NAROBS Wow - a satisfied Condor customer!! You should take a look at the comments of all the holidaymakers this summer who've had their trips delayed by the "engine problems". Accommodation great? Maybe, if you think that £115 for an overnight cabin (on top of the normal fare) is good value
@robmasterman Many thanks again Bob. Again I was lucky with the weather, but I was less lucky at an un-named pub in St Peter Port who gave me food poisoning, which manifested itself while I was driving back on the M3 at 3am!!!
Great video, pity that the boat has spent much of the summer with mechanical problems. The phrase "running on one engine" should be Condor's motto, as it seems to spend most of its time doing this
funney how they stopped the weymouth condor ferry this year because its an olympics venue. saying there was some cracks in the port, which have been filled in 2day, seems a bit fishy 2 me
That ferry was made by Incat in Hobart. The only other company building large fast catamarans is also Australian, Austal of Perth, so the Australians have a monopoly on building that type of ship.

I used these 25 years ago frequently between Oostend Belgium and Ramsgate. Wavepiercing - pretty fast.

The music is "Oxyjarre" by Vinnie Falcone - title at the end of the video
