As a Pyre vine fan (in the days I used to play PvZ2, which I just left now) I found the plant very helpful, if not reliable in endless Frostbite caves mode, BUT because of several things: I grinded for it in the arena to level it up at least to level 3, making it stronger and with longer fire reach. I of course used lots of other plants, like Homing Thistle (am I saying the name right?), catapult plants etc. planted in it. That wasn't over tho, cause I also used a wall structure from Pumpkin and Pokra, both also level 3 or so. This teamwork system with pyre vine preventing freeze and Pokra dealing with further zombie threats, while plants at level 3, now that was above average combo for that Frostbite cave mode I was talking about earlier. Pyre vine alone may not be that helpful, it just needs right combinations so the plants can buff each other, if you will. Like Alex said in Madagascar 3: "I have good left leg, but without the right one, I can't walk."
In deffense of Sun Shroom, you can plant way more due to their cheaper cost, ofc in a 1to1 other sun producers will tend to make more instantly, but over time you can plant a lot (they don't have long recharge) and start exploding with the amount of sun they produce as at some point they start giving 3x the sun of their cost unlike any other producer. They are a really cost-efficient sun producer in plan your defense levels too, they are THE most cost-efficient sun producer in fact, and it doesn't hurt nearly as much when one gets eaten as they only costed you 25 sun, and finally, with the strategy of people placing sun producers in front and attacking plants in back, it favors cheap sun producers like Sun Shroom more if zombies do reach and treaten them, and if they do, you mostlikely have a ton of them in other rows anyways. So i am definitely of the opinion that Sun Shroom is better than Primal Sunflower, and is best non seedium sun producer. See if pvz2 was more cramped and favored spaces higher, that could be a reason not to favor them (as that is their biggest downside), but levels, vines, and tiles counteract that potential weakness, and there's plenty of room to work with. As for synergies, a good Primal Sunflower synergy is Gold Bloom to let you plant a lot of them early, but on the other hand Sun Shroom has amazing synergy with Enlighten-Mint to instantly grow them and produce a lot of sun, not to mention Sun Shroom is an ideal target for Shine Vine due to their cheap cost while being Enligten-mint family tagged for higher sun production on Shine Vine.
You are completly right, even tho there are like 5 ppl with enlightment out there, (i am one of them) being able to place a ton of plants early before zombies start spawning and than placing the enlightment mint can give you like 1000 to 3000 suns

For low level, they can be call weak, but when you upgrade then. you will see why people consider them as strong plant, Witch hazel's strongest ability is to kill the zombie immediately, and cause hugh damage, I mean, 1200 damage at lv1, 1800 damage at lv10, and higher damage at higher Mastery, Also, if u know how to combine Witch hazel with the other plants, I don't think she is overrated. Honestly some of your takes are just bad. Cauli is very overtuned, and is literally only countered by the two zombies you showed. This plant is nowhere near overrated, and I think you are underselling it way too much. I mean this plant literally broke battlez for a time and breaks battlez on every enchant mint season. Also there are a lot of levels that are just free with caulipower as your only attacker. Seeing you call a busted plant overrated just makes me cringe. People say its op in vanilla pvz2 for a reason

Sun shroom might be worse individual than sunflower but you can have 2 sunshrooms for the price of 1 sunflower which already made the sunflowers inferior by the 2nd sun shroom growth stage
I don't think pyro vine is overrated, of course he's support plant because he's a vine. That vine ability itself is a good deal because you can save more tile, warming plant & a little protection to your main plant, 125 sun is reasonable sun cost. If you level it up his range became longer with non-stop firing better than jack-o-lantern
I disagree with Sunflower being better even in the short term. The only time I think so is when it's one flag only and even so you cannot stall the zombie on first waves. Primal is better without a doubt. But I sincerely disagree with sunshroom being worse in anything that is a 2 or 3 flag level
Tbh, I don’t think most of these plants are even SUPPOSED to be used as a main attacker. So that’s probably an explanation towards how weak or vulnerable they are.
People overate plants like imp pear, tile turnip, bowling bulb, lightning reed, fire pea and threepeater as hardcore arena players because of their leveling whenever they either hack it or spend a lot of money on the game, although I still find imp pear as an amazing early game plant
i think noctarine is a little over rated because you need to bring shadow plants to make him work and other than dusk lobber theyre premıum like shadow peas shooter and dragon bruit
in my opinion the most overated plant is pokra that is so op but too overused and mostly overated because she is not the best damadge dealer when theres boombox zombie and its just a expensive and when theres healer zombie it will not do anything becasue pokra can do everything with slownes

Nobody ever talk about Firepea, Jack O lantern, Infern and Pyre Vine so I don't think they are counted as overrated. Missile Toe just suck. But in the chinese version she's one of the most op plants. Witch Hazel sucks too Caulipower is mid. Meteor Flower is mid too (but that doesn't change that it's my favorite plant) Dartichoke has always been underrated, nobody use it, Dartichoke is forgotten. I don't understand why it's in this video. Imppear is op in arena, but else he's kinda mid.
You didnt talk about inferno, i think that its pretty good in a team with something that can take out all the normal zombies, browncoats etc while inferno can take care of bucket heads and other stuff, he does have a very slow cd tho
