Thank You, Father for this reminder as I continue to wait on the fulfillment of Your promises in my life. Your timing is always perfect. You are faithful. You are merciful. I am standing on Your promises. As I am in the waiting, create in me a godly character of strength, resilience, hope, and patience. I also say this prayer for my children. All praises, glory, and honor belong to You alone. In Jesus's merciful and mighty name. Amen.
There is a "time to speak and a time to refrain from speaking"; faith in Christ will find contentment in both times. There is a time to "let your light so shine before men" and the right time for that moment will always be when your good works can glorify your Father in heaven. But in the very next chapter Jesus councils that to do things for the motive of merely being seen or noticed of men will be your only reward; elsewhere in Scripture this is blatantly referred to as "vain glory", which, of course, will never be rewarded positively by The Father.

Agreed. It's not about what WE do, it's about what our Lord andd Savior, Jesus Christ, has done.
