The gunmetal you use is simply the most beautiful I've seen. The mugendramon build single handedly inspired me to get back into gunpla. The gold in the mouth and in the joints makes the design superior, highlighting details that usually get lost in the grey-on-grey color scheme. i can't find gaia notes *anywhere* so i tried it using tamiya. Even just comparing it to the initial coat without any shading at 2:20, the results were flat, not very reflective and the color was much more dull dark gray than the gaia notes gorgeous, almost bronzey look. Ill admit im a novice, but even I know how to properly apply a flat coat of paint to plastic. (I used mr finishing surfacer black 1500 for my primer as well) What would you recommend in place of gaia notes?
Thanks ! for gaianotes replacement of gunmetal i think the most nearest one MR Color MC-214 Dark Iron or Dspeae Black iron, but it will not have the brownish effect of the gunmetal but it got the similar finishes
@@GundamStore Thank you so much for this help. Bless you. I might take my chances mixing colors later, but for now i'll just be happy with the finish. Cheers.
I really want to make something like this, but I'm just getting started when it comes to painting model kits. Do you have any airbrush recommendations?

I really want to make something like this, but I'm just getting started when it comes to painting model kits. Do you have any airbrush recommendations?
for starting up, i would suggest using the beginner compressor within the 14 psi just to get familiar with the airbrush system
Did you do any topcoats before you panel lined? Looks like the lighter fluid worked really well
