Still love Dr. Humphrey. Hope he’s doing well in Australia. ❤❤❤
Me too!
I love the fact they actually believe patients about their pain levels.
I was taught in nursing school that no one can tell you their pain level but the patient. You can also look for signs and symptoms in those that cannot communicate their needs so that they do not suffer. Many do! Many people are locked in their bodies unable to communicate how painful and miserable they are. If you have loved ones in healthcare facilities be there for them! Hire help if you can. Trust me with the lack of staffing they have normalized, nobody is getting the care they deserve. Healthcare is not what it used to be even with the new drugs and technology that has been developed. God help us.
@@lorenrobertson8039 I worked long term care for over 2 decades. Nursing attentdant. There were nurses we'd not bother reporting to as they never believed us when we told them our elderly patients were in obvious pain. We told each other when the new shift took over what we saw, and they would go to a "good" nurse who would then dispense the meds.
Im in the US, and 1000mg of tylenol is the go-to for every pain unless you clearly have a bOne poking through your skin. Then you might get a toradol injection. They believe nobody. I can't take tramadol because other medications im on, and guess what. I get tramadol or suffer.. i can swallow a bottle of tylenol and still be in pain, i tell them im immune to tylenol & i still get it. I dont ask for narcotics, i dont expect them, but for the love of God, listen to your patients.i know theres an opoid epidemic going on, its here to stay, and it will never go away, dont ignore patients because your afraid to give 10mg of narcotics to somebody who truly needs them. I love seeing drs listen to their patients. Every country is better than the US when it comes to healthcare
Sister Benita, Sister Jane and Dr. Julian are my favorites! I like them all, but they're my favorites.
Me too. So suave, calm, joyful. Very reassuring.❤
omg please give that poor kid some pain relief
well done to all the staff at Barnsley hospital
Do they have hospice there? The end stage COPD pt could’ve been kept much more comfortable at home and not suffered for 2 days. This breaks my heart. He could’ve been on liquid oral morphine and lorazepam to help with his shortness of air and air hunger. The way he held on to his brother’s hand 💔😢
Agreed. I did in patient hospice much of my career. No one need suffer like that. I've fought for my dying patients before and gone over the heads of many Dr.'s. Esp. residents on call. It got ugly a few times. Even had one Dr. fired for being inappropriate to a patient, their family member, and abusive to myself. And I had witnesses. It was a big ordeal. But I found out that they may have "fired" her from our unit, but she's still on staff at that hospital...wow. She was suffering some mental illness that made her act out badly. Had zero business in a role where lives on on the line.
I love hospital videos.
Me too.😊
I’m sorry, but I think that’s the sweetest first date ever I mean really it’s like hey, how did you meet your partner oh, you know I went to go pick them up after a car crash ❤😂
Ngl the moment of silence kinda hit home ❤ Amazing way to share
Please Don’t block the procedures because it’s fascinating seeing what can be done by the doctors and nurses .
I mean, it is a better story than I don’t know like meeting on Tinder or something like that I don’t know. I just think it’s super sweet
Thank you for sharing your hard work with us. 😎👍🇨🇦

Morphine is the most ineffective medication for chronic or acute pain. Most chronic pain patients have high tolerances to pain medication and should not be punished or looked down on for their chronic health issues anymore than other people with long term medical problems. We are not drug seekers, but relief seekers. It is sickening to hurt like dying all the time. Life can become too long for some of us, esp. with the attitudes people get for folks that have chronic pain issues. Epileptics do not get looked down on for their chronic conditions, nor do cancer, dementia, or others. It could be you in this life, so try hard not to be judgmental.
You are absolutely right& i agree with everything you wrote
This. I have chronic 4-5/10 pain everyday, because of that, my vitals don’t show my pain level the way that a healthy person’s would. I’ve been charted as being drug seeking, been refused pain medication and treatment, etc. because the doctors think I’m just wanting drugs. I don’t want them, I’m allergic to opioids, and I’m very aware of the risk because of family history. But no, the highest strength I’ve gotten was high dose ibuprofen tablets after nerve surgery.
@@motionless_horizon that is just cruel. Shame on them! We were taught back in the day in nursing school to not allow patients to suffer. To stay ahead of the pain. Most post surgery pt's were not given enough pain medication to worry about them getting addicted. We didn't give prolonged RX's after surgery back then. We weened them down before letting them discharge. Now people are in and out. And I guess left to suffer. Then they wonder why so many seek street drugs or whatever... I'm sorry you suffer!!!
Well said. I was diagnosed with my first chronic pain condition 15 years ago and have been diagnosed with an additional 3 since then. No pain relief given because it "should just be fixed with anti-depressants". Yet no one understands why sometimes I'm disappointed to wake up. I also have to work and my husband is divorcing me because I can't work full time. Chronic pain sucks and ruins your life.
Also if you're a redhead. Morphine makes my sister and I sleepy, but does almost nothing for pain. Especially since my day to day is a 5-6 from systematic autoimmune arthritis, making the pain from a bowel obstruction a 9.
(2:18) isn't it a requirement for all boys to have stitches in their forehead before the age of 5? It sure was in my neighborhood.
🤣🤣🤣
Well now they are blurring things on this channel man youtube is going down hill quick
When I was two I cut myself on some glass milk bottles and I needed stitches my brother cried but not me,he even got a lollipop 😅
Why blur the picture?
I do not like it when they blur the wounds.
They are not blurred on the actual tv show.
That nurse in yhe dark blue shirt made me made laughing at that man with the stines. They hurt when passing them no matter the size and she paughed at his discomfort.😾😾😾😾😾😾😾😾
Good job to the drug Dr.
The toddlers did so well, considering 😢
Okay I’m confused 🫤 Teddy’s cut was above his left eye and then they showed a different frame and it was up by his right hairline…am I nuts?
Okay I rewatched it for the third time and it was probably blood and they blurred out the actual cut!
DOLPHIN COURT LONDON😊🤗🤐😮🙂😉😆☺😥😣😚😅😄😙😏🙄😗😃🤣😘😶😑😍😂😁😎😐🤔😋😀
What ya gonna do now that all the episodes have aired??
I can not believe that doctor put his hands on his head with glives on and didn't change them thats contaminated gloves right there.
Wtf, omfg, he should be given a Ketamine drip. Morphine isnt long acting enough and is for people whove never had any sorts of long term health conditions
Glad you have access to his complete medical records in order to make that call Dr justme......
When my 3 year old fell at the playground and had a boxers cut needed 9 stitches I never left hus side. I am all he has. I can't imagine a mom leaving her 4 year old. So sad.
She probably could not stand seeing her child in pain, and it breaks her heart
Injured children is a hard thing.
Can't the miner get a lung transplant
