Happy Christmas 🎄❄☃🍵 Jonathan!! Love your videos 🖖🏼(btw: Cardassians called DS9 Terok Nor during their occupation of Bajor ) I come here for the Star Trek reviews! 😊📚
Awesome video! Lots of good ones I’m going to put on my 2025 TBR. I appreciate all the time you put into your videos for us. Have a Merry Christmas Jonathan!
The Silverblood Promise was my favorite of 2024. Reading it reminded me of the first time I played the Uncharted video games, just so much fun. I highly recommend The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett, which was released this year with a sequel planned in 2025. I learned about it from Booktube and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you enjoyed the Star Trek mystery I think you would like The Tainted Cup!
I’d love to see a recommended reading order for someone who hasn’t read anything from Brandon Sanderson(I know he has a recommended reading guide but what would your opinion be to beginning the cosmere)
I would start with Mistborn Era 1, Warbreaker, and/or Elantris, one of those three and then once you’ve read these ones move onto Stormlight Era 1 and Mistborn Era 2 and the other Secret Projects.
Thanks for the video! Also, did you hear that the Bad Batch is getting a novel by Random House Worlds? “Sanctuary”, by Lamar Giles, next summer. I’ve been wanting a Bad Batch novel for a while!
I only read two new releases this year, those being Wind and Truth (by far my favorite) and Fury of the Gods, which was pretty disappointing though still decent. I read Sunlit Man last year so I wouldn't count that, but if I did it'd be at the bottom for me too.
The most recent new release I read was published in '22. And I still have 50+ novels to read, hence my resolution to read two to three novels a week, it doesn't help that I got more coming in. I guess I'm going to try and push that to four or five and utilize my days off. Do you have any good X-Files book suggestions? (Besides Ground Zero and Goblins) if you read any of them.
2024 published books ranked: 1. Batman: Resurrection 2. The Fury of the Gods 3. The Bourne Shadow 4. Pliable Truths (Star Trek: TNG) 5. The Sunlit Man 6. The Living Force (Star Wars) 7. The Chaos Agent (Gray Man) 8. Red Sky Mourning (Terminal List) 9. Sentinel (Armored Series) 10. Wind and Truth (Stormlight Archive) 11. A Death in Cornwall (Gabriel Allon) 12. Shadow of Doubt (Scot Harvard) I’m reading Temptation of the Force. Not really enjoying it about 60% of the way through. Kind of feels like a romance novel wrapped in Star Wars gift wrapping paper. Some of the books you have listed I have on my 2025 TBR and can’t wait to get into those
I really don't read that much new stuff. In fact, I got three for this year. Wind and Truth, which I'm not even halfway through but I can tell already wouldn't win. Fury of the Gods, which i liked, but didn't love. And that leaves the one that wins by default. Dragons of Eternity which was my favorite book in the new Dragonlance trilogy. However, if we open this up to graphic novels, then for me, the winner would have to be Daredevil Modern Era Epic Collection volume 3: Out. The second collection of the Bendis Daredevil run.
I’m not a Star Wars exclusive channel, I do cover other books as well. But I’d rank the Star Wars Books from this year as follows 1. Tears of the Nameless 2. The Living Force 3. Beware the Nameless 4. Temptation of the Force 5. Defy the Storm 6. Edge of Balance #3 7. Escape from Valo 8. Tales of Enlightenment 9. Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss

I did hear. I’m away from my studio so I can’t make a book news video. 😂
I’ll definitely be there on day one.
@@jonathankoan Oh, cool! I love your book news videos. In the meantime, have a very Merry Christmas!

@@theorichalcumspider7755 I’ve never read any X-Files books, but I can recommend “The Geek’s Attic”, who has read some of them.

Too long for me and many things I don't care about it... Only Star Wars books for me
