Whenever I want to buy this mats before buying lot of bargain I used to do it, when I see this tranceformation of making mats thier hard work I ashamed
of myself to bargain like that what a skilled workers I learnt a lesson this mats very cool good for health can use many ways in india many places available even road sides recently I bought one medium size just 150/rs bigger size 500/rs it depens on quality size I proud to say this is made in india .

Use chatai avoid plastic. Better for land cultuvation and environment. Also it profits this small scale workers , while plastic chatai mostly benefits plastic beads importers. Its kind of khadi vs polyester. So its nationalism. Also nabi muhammad saw has said using chatai is one of my habits. So its sunnah.

Reminds me of a netting mill. Similar with spool feed rack for yarns. Adjustments and lubrication must be quite a chore. I was curious how the edges were bound. His skills would qualify him for many US factory jobs - and be well paid too.

Bhaddiya Bhikkhu Tamilian Culture is the oldest in the whole world. This used to be a cottage industry and every household used to have this type of Mats. With the cheap Chinese Nylin mats the Industry is killed. Driving out the Chinese products is the only way to keep our Culture, language and identity alive.
