Its a movie i can watch again and again.. Just can keep admiring Mamooka... His laugh and smile in this movie just makes him look so handsome and glamorous... Its a movie anyone would love
I lost count how many times I`ve seen this movie.. I have the VCD of this movie as well.. I thought Kanamarayathu is one of the ever beautiful movies in Malayalam cinema history..i still adore oru madhurakinavin song and it`s dance scenes.. I understand Mammootty`s office is actually AV George`s office in Baker junction, Kottayam(that building has since been demolished). The watch shop is in fact Krishnan Nair`s watch house beneath the District co cooperative bank near Prakatt jewellers in Central junction. My late father happened to be at the watch shop when this scene was shot. I`ve seen the Peaugeot 504 of Mammootty`s with the reg no KRK 504 many times..The vintage car used by Rahman is in fact the car of Prakatt jwellers who were the producers as well.(the same car(changed colour) is shown in Poomukhappadiyil Ninneyum Kathu as Rahman`s father Thilakan`s car). The college scenes are shot in CMS college, Kottayam and school is Mt Carmel which is said elsewhere in this comments. I visited Vimalagiri cathedral in 2019 and apart from the chairs kept in side the cathedral, there is hardly any changes at all. During the song of Kasturi mankurunne..there is a scene which the cinematographer Jayanan Vincent is taking to Mammootty which I confirmed with the former. This movie was remade in Hindi as Anokha Rista in 1986 starring Rajesh Khanna(Mammootty), Tanuja(Mother superior), Smitha Patel(Seema), Shafi Imandar(Lalu Alex) and our own Sukumari(same role) and of course directed by IV Sasi himself. One of the scenes(where Lalu Alex introduces Rahman(comes on a boat wearing shorts) to Mammootty) of both these movies were shot in the same spot. Absolutely.. I visited Vimalagiri cathedral in 2019 mainly because this cathedral was shown in this beautiful movie... Although my house is just 14km from Kottayam and seen this cathedral tower every time I drove/travel past over Nagambadom bridge across River Mennachil, I never got around to see this. Its a great cathedral..

Absolutely.. I visited Vimalagiri cathedral in 2019 mainly because this cathedral was shown in this beautiful movie... Although my house is just 14km from Kottayam and seen this cathedral tower every time I drove/travel past over Nagambadom bridge across River Mennachil, I never got around to see this. Its a great cathedral..
