It's funny, this attitude is true for being a mechanic as well. Sometimes your wrench slips and you bust your hand open, or you scrape your knuckles reaching down in the engine bay. You bleed but you don't even notice it. You don't stop working, it's not even there, you just keep on the job til it's finished (unless you seriously need stitches or something).
