Hi Viewer. Thanks for taking the time to watch my first video! Whilst I have got you here I would really appreciate any suggestions for things you want to see explained! I already have so many ideas but a few more cant hurt! Also its effluivum not Effluviam... excuse the typo in the video! Thanks in advance, and have a great day!
Cleanse hair with lukewarm water, Use a satin or silk scarf while sleeping, Wash hair with diluted apple cider vinegar for shine, Apply littllextraa cocoonnnion shampoo and lightweight hair oil. This worked for my mom, and she controlled her hair fall with this routine.
I’ve been dealing with hair fall for a long time and used many solutions with limited results. A buddy like you told me about this cocooniion shampoo, and after sticking with it, I can see a real difference. My hair fall has reduced a lot.
Thank you so much for making this video. I just really hate studying. I have to studying for my hairdressing course. This video helped. Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Apologies if I am talking too quickly. You can change your settings on RUclips to play it slower. This may help in this instance... I will try be slower on my next video (whenever I get around to doing that)
Hi Adam Explains, i was searching information on hair and i found your video. You have done a excellent work ! But i would like to know if you have a book to advised to me to learn more on the science of hair ?
The anagen phase continues for approximately 5 years, the hair grows 1cm per month, which means 60cm in 5 years. Every 5 years the hair will fall out and a new one will start growing instead of the falling one, which will eventually fall after 5 years (60cm). Does that mean that there is a limit of length that the hair cannot exceed?? This can't be true..
Well... the hair cycle is true so not exactly sure what to tell you. Do a simple google search and you will find as much. The hair on our bodies (and scalp) grow at different rates and the length of the anagen state will vary based on genetics, diet, age etc. Some peoples hair grows faster and for longer than others but people will have a terminal length which is the maximum at which their hair can grow. Most humans develop the longest thickest hair on their scalps and (mostly observed in males) faces. This hair will usually grow to several feet before terminating, but many humans develop much longer hair. People differ but that doesn't stop the underlying fact of the matter to be true... hair grows in a cycle. You can disbelieve it all you want but you're just denying facts at that point
Yes, there is a personal limit of how long your hair can get. There are also mutations that can make the growing cycle muuuch longer, see people with hair all the way down to the ground!. But I didn't trim my hair for a long time, probably two years, and it was already long before and is staying the same lenght for some time now. You're not gonna become rapunzel if you just stop trimming your hair, unless you're one of the people with the reaaally long growing period for hair. Sadly. I'd still want my hair to go longer. Might read up on how to make it grow a bit faster which would make it possible to have it grow longer.
Apologies if I am talking too quickly. You can change your settings on RUclips to play it slower. This may help in this instance... I will try be slower on my next video (whenever I get around to doing that)
@@AdamExplains nah man you're great and I appreciate your swiftyness. You're breaking down phases of biochemistry in a 3 minute video and still making it digestsble. I believe people should lower their expectations if they have a problem with your length. Gratitude always sir 🙏🏽 thank you for the exposure and energy to get my ass up and researching for my own betterment.
Because these are average time lengths of the cycle. This can vary from person to person - who may have a different terminal Length. This isn't to be debated. Its scientific fact. A simple google search will clear this up
@@AdamExplains this subject seems poorly studied. My money is on there is something else going on. And i am basing this guess off of pure intuition. So I'm probably wrong. Or maybe I'm right? Who cares
@@classica1fungus I think that the science is to a point where we understand enough that hairs shed and regrow in a cycle. Why else would womens (or mans) leg hair regrow after waxing or epilating (which pulls the hair out at the root)? Maybe there are other factors that are yet to be discovered that contribute to how long hair spends in the Anagen phase but that's very different from assuming that the hair cycle doesn't exist which seems to be the implication from the original commenter. A simple google search will confirm what I am saying based on the existing research and understanding of biology - if someone wants to argue the hair cycle doesn't exist then they ought to provide evidence that demonstrates that beyond intuition.
As far as I understand (its been a while since I made this video), not necessarily, its just an estimated time and each hair will run on its own cycle. A telogen effluvium can occur as outlined in the video however this is rare. The hair could also break giving the appearance of it falling whilst the root still being attached Also for men with male pattern baldness the Anagen cycle gets progressively shorter as the condition worsens so again affecting the time delay But again the time is based on estimates I could find online and will likely vary from person to person on a range of factors
These are averages for some people the cycles could be shorter or longer. Moreover hair cycles are not synchronised for each follicle so some hairs will grow and shed independently of each other. Look up "terminal length" of hair. It varies from person to person but there will be a maximum length that your hair will typically grow

Play It at 75 speed. Works fine
I’m a woman in November shedding worse than a dog thinking I’ll be bald by Christmas lol this gave me hope thanks!
This helped me a lot!
Who knew I could get a bunch of information from a video.
Thanks!
Wow man that's great great content !
Great video!! Can you explain the scalp pain associated with Telogen effluvium?
Fully informative , but u r talking so fast like if I watch the video with 2x speed ! In general I like it 👌🏻

Bro I'm 17 and shedding 50-80 hairs a day am i in exogen phase ?
very understanding Video❤🎉
Yes, we had to learn this in beauty school lol, there are a lot of science stuff in the book.
Hello
I shed hair on a regular basis. As a matter of fact, I find a lot of it in my shower!

Do u mean that during thé anagen phase hair doesn't detach and won't fall until the five years?

Thanks a lot sir.
Can sugar cause hairloss, others and even doctor I have talked to say sugar doesn't?
Do the hair grow slow or fast in the Anagen stage ?
How come that hair of scalp continues growing long if anagen is 6 years???

Do you have a list of sources you could post?

Is exogen phase possible at age of 17 ?
Of course. Exogen can even happen in babies. Its called a telogen effluvium (sometimes exogen is grouped in with Telogen phase)
@@AdamExplains ohh thanks bro
So why does the hair on my heard not fall put instead it grows longer
All hair is shed and replaced. Scalp hair can have a life cycle of over 7 years if I recall correctly. Nobody has the same hair they were born with
