This is a Comeback Song for Taylor. After having 2 Impactful losses in her life occur in such a short period of Time. First loss was Chris Cornell of Soungarden. She had been on tour with him & after the Tour He Commited Suicide. She really didnt think at the time that She would be able to move on, but started to when Loss number 2 hit. Her friend and longtime producer Kato was killed in a Motorcycle accident.. He was at the time moving her past the first loss when she got that Horrific phone call. She Been in T.V since 2yrs old.. Left it all Behind to Be a Metal Star
damn didn't know that, i love her music for a long while love her albums and so many favorite songs. I wish to see them live, they're currently on tour with another fav band shinedown but no los angeles nights. I wish they would come. it's surreal I dreamed of that collaboration of how cool if two fav bands working together. there is aftershock if i can go
@@AlejandraGarcia-ky5dl Hope You get a chance to See her.. She puts on an Awesome show. Seen her open up for Manson & at River City Rockfest in San Antonio Tx.
If you loved this song you're going to love their song "And So It Went" ft. Tom Morello!! And you'll see that their music videos tend to be very cinematographic✨
This was actually a proposal song for one of the James Bond films. They wrote the song and submitted it, but another song was selected instead. So they made a video and released "25" on one of their albums instead.
loving this. I love the pretty reckless for years zombie and make me wanna die were the first songs that hook me to them then later my medicine heaven knows follow me down absolution sweet things hit me like a man the list goes on. hope you continue to listen to them that heavy rock is powerful and her vocal are fken crazy good no auto tune, watch her live shows she gets down crazy good and talents. I wish i could hit those vocal notes, high low vibrato, her voice was made for rock n roll just like shinedown her music is like poetry dark poetry this song reminds me of the whole 27 club how artists pass at that age and shes older "at 25 and still alive, much longer than expected for a man" also in rock in roll heaven "gotta make to 27 before I die"
I couldn't agree with you more. I absolutely love The Pretty Reckless, Taylor's vocals are amazing and Ben is fire on the guitar and so underrated. I think 'Who You Selling For' is my favourite album, I love take me down, prisoner, already dead, well all of their songs really haha!
Also, a bit of a long shot but I'm just going to slide it in here lol.... Me and my partner have done a few covers of their songs if you fancy giving them a listen, they aren't amazing or anything but we had fun doing them. I have a couple on my RUclips channel but there's more on my partners channel: Jason Thompson.
@@karenalves1156 She has been in a lot of other tv shows and commercials too and she is also a top level model too. She is a complete workaholic who graduated high school at age 14!
Taylor has come a long ways over the years from her start as "Cindy Lou Who" in "The Grinch" and many other acting jobs then she flew into her music where she is just incredible
What you should know about TPR is how much this album differs from their past work. It’s deeper, rawer and quite cutting at times. They went through some serious, serious shit between this release and their past and Taylor as a singer, writer, but also as a woman has very much changed.
i feel that is older compared to when she was 18 mature i love all her albums. i feel like the lyrics grew up. I related to them when i was younger with the first albums and i relate to them now with this album. but in general i related to her music
I got the Bond vibes too! even the line "Die Another Day"! The transition was a bit "Beatles -esque", no? Loved your analysis - "Gloriousness"! YES! Taylor rocks! I'd love to see her collab with Maria of In This Moment. They might have some common ground........ Another The Pretty Reckless track - ruclips.net/video/bmtbg5b7_Aw/видео.html
I get the Bond vibe too and that transition is VERY Beatlesque and I love it, takes the song in a completely different direction but then smoothing brings it right back! This is an incredibly well crafted song! Great lyrics too! A Taylor Momsen and Maria Brink collaboration would definitely make a lot of sense, interest idea!
Ok bio not covered already Taylor Momsem out of St.Louis Missourri is 28 years old. Stands 5'8" and has a beautiful chest voice and that distinctive vocal fry. Also has a beautiful clean head voice. Absolutley a glammed up look for her who style in clothing can most assuredlly be called electic. Cleans up real nice. Needs no help there, but on a real budget for hair, makeup, lighting and filters you see how stunning she really is on the outside. Spend any time getting to know her though her interviews and you learn she is even more beautiful inside. Mostly the pretty reckless are a metal band. They formed in 2012 and hit it big in 2014. All over the airwaves. Best wishes for 2022.
Okay, so I just found an interview where she says she absolutely did NOT write it for any Bond movie but that it was definitely inspired by the Bond movies. It's autobiographical, about what she was going through at the time, with Chris Cornell's suicide and other things. She was 24, about to turn 25, and she was in a place where she was saying okay, I'm turning 25 and I'm still here despite everything. And she wanted it sound and look (for the video) cinematic. The James Bond movie franchise was turning 25 as well so she said she might have also had that rattling around in the back of her mind somewhere lol.

You should check out "Take me down " by them! It is amazing! Very much blues and rock. They have a lot of acoustic songs that are well worth checking out. I Love this band!
Honestly my opinion the best new pretty reckless right now is and so it went but my introduction was a little late and it was heaven knows both are great songs
Not her "normal" style but I really like the song. Very impactful and she's just an amazing singer/performer. Some other songs to try out if you are interested Make me Wanna Die, Heaven Knows, Take me Down, Death by Rock and Roll, Going to Hell. Just a fun fact to blow anyone's mind who didn't already know....Taylor Momsen (the singer) played Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Please listen to more Pretty Reckless, In this Monent, Halestorm/Lzzy Hale, Bishop Briggs, Qveen Herby, Rain Paris, etc... some super powerful and amazing women!!!!
Oh mad they have new stuff haha, I stopped listening to her years ago with 'make me wanna die', long lost celeb crush 😂 but she looks really different now
Oh your right dude actually when I looked into R&B the subgenres in this genre is actually blues, jazz, soul music, and rock and roll if you didn’t know it’s all on Wikipedia if you search for R&B.
I've heard them before, but not this song. You're right, very Bond. Super cool, and yet not that similar to their usual sound. But her voice is definitely familiar here despite the difference. Great piece.
When working from n the album or even before starting. She lost three very close friends of hers. That’s what this song is suppose to be about. One of them was her best friend and producer
I’m going to throw Halestorm - I AM THE FIRE into the suggestion hat. Since we are doing powerful female vocalists, Lzzy is one of my favorites of all time!!!
"Take Me Down" off their "Who You Selling For" album, is probably my favorite track of the Pretty Reckless. Video is very shiny, and it showcases all their talents.
this SHOULD have been the theme for No Time to Die Each number does actually relate to the corresponding Bond film. Of course 20-25 are the Daniel Craig films
When their album before this one came out, I thought great band, awesome voice, but the lyrics are juvenile. Then this album with 25 and And So It Went literally bitchslapped any smugness from my face.
I really dislike Mainstream Music as a whole.....But this Band is sooo frickin awesome. In case no one told you that is the now grown up version of Cindy Lou Who. Her name is Taylor Munson and she played Cindy Lou Who in Jim Carrys version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). After starring in that movie she quit acting and started focusing on Music. I think her first album dropped at the ripe old age of 15 or 16...Some thing like that. She has got a set of pipes and is def one of the best female vocalists in Rock n Roll today. She is a legit bad ass.
I thought You were taking some time Off????.. OK....how about This Cover???? In This Moment - "We Will Rock You (feat.Maria Brink, Lzzy Hale and Taylor Momsen)" [OFFICIAL AUDIO]
Chris Cornell was to some degree tied to pizzagate to the effect that him and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park were in the process of doing a documentary on the dark side of politics and Hollywood.
I would suggest a couple others but most of them are not going to have videos suitable for the channel. Definitely don’t watch them when the wife is around either.

When you say it's ounds like blues/jazz but like rock remember we wouldn't have rock if it wasn't for blues
I absolutely love bands with a female lead, other great ones to check out: Halestorm; Within Temptation; Flyleaf; Lacuna Coil

She has a "Jazzy" voice as well which might lend to the James Bond feeling as well.

Makes Me Wanna Die is an oldie but a goodie from Pretty Reckless.

Under the water is my absolutely favorite song from pretty reckless. You should give it a listen.
That one's amazing! Def doesn't get the recognition it deserves!
Good choice, id also recommend Cold Blooded by them
If i remember correctly, taylor momsen started the band at 16. After being a child actress, she played cindy lou hoo in jim carrys the grinch.

Cindy Lou Who! The Pretty Reckless is fantastic.

Taylor Momsen I have listened to a lot of of songs they are all awesome her stage presence is enthralling every song has been electrically charged 😊
Awesome song for sure, you really should check out the unplugged version though, it's even more amazing
Wow. Hadn't heard this before. Lots more respect for Pretty Reskless
Her voice. Wow. I'm not huge on female rock singers but this girl is AMAZING.
Really this song is over 3 years old,🕺
Do u know who she is from? She played cindy lu in the grinch that stole Christmas.
Cindy loo who can saaang! Cool to see your reaction to it
This was likely submitted as a potential theme for the latest Bond movie. There's a whole bunch of songs throughout the years of rejected Bond themes.
I could totally hear Momsen on a Bond theme. She sounds a lot like former singers here.
Think I read somewhere this was written for "Tomorrow Never Dies" but wasn't chosen.
@ No Time to Die was the 25th Bond film, made under the working title of Shatterhand!

Notice the big boots while in the red dress. Someone hasn't worn heels in a while? Cause Covid, LOL
