"The con is you need a friend"😂😂 Ah Barry sometimes you crack me up!! But yeah of course I know what you meant!😁 I'd be really interested to hear about what you've actually learned by analysing your form these ways, and what adjustments that's lead you to make and why, though I guess perhaps you might be hesitant to make a video on that not being an expert yourself... still, that would be really interesting!
Ha! I am not an expert in anything and it hasn't stopped me making videos so far...I am going to try and do an analysis video to show what I do with the data, but it's possibly a while away yet...
@@bartekzielinski1645 😂😂 so funny!!!! Feeling quite terrified with the Boffi Fifty (Festival des Templiers in the south of France) looming over me in 9 days!!!!😬😳😵💫🥴 Sincerely hope you are doing better and better yourself Bartek, I often think of you!!🙋🏻♀️
@@OldManRunner I've watched it now several times and this truly is a complete guide. I have filmed myself on a track using my Samsung Ultra in the past. And you're spot on, figuring out how to position the phone camera is the most difficult part of the process. And you end up filming a lot more than you need to... press record >>> run past the phone >>> come back to it to press stop, etc. I'm not sure what the Windows equivalent of QuickTime is, I will need to look into that. Great tip on running the closest lane or the farthest lane, thanks! Stryd has a great discount until the end of October, I think I'm finally going to upgrade to Duo. I know the way they analyse data isn't perfect but I'm a sucker for visual representation and Footpath looks great. But you saved the best for last, the drone! I should've realised how inexpensive it was when you posted about it recently - I will be looking it up for sure 👍 Kudos to Jack on making an appearance in the final shot 🫶
Jack has landed back to live in Ireland...the week before I am due to do a 10 mile race with him in London...There are lots of media players in Windows, you should find one easily enough. Stryd just launched a big change in the media interface, it looks quite good but I need to do a deep dive...In the meantime I am going to the track to see what 960fps looks like on the DJI Action 5 Pro...
I enjoyed your comment because at the time of filming all I could think of was entire box I have of largely vaguely useful grip stuff...and no idea what to collectively call them...
Very useful and interesting. My main question would be, if you had to record running a 5ish hour marathon what device would you use that could record that long with respect to both battery and file storage and be light enough to mount on you somewhere? Asking for a friend 😉
Would you believe thats exactly the question I am asking myself and doing tests on. The DJI Action 5 Pro can do that time with 3 batteries and and one memory card (of sufficient size). I was out testing Horizon Balancing v Rock Steady v Rock Steady + today which are its stability settings. Handheld is better than a chest mount. Less bouncing up and down. It's a bit heavy to mount on a cap. If you pop it on a stick you can leave it in the vest for the bulk and take out when vlogging or for more steady shots...might do a video on some of the settings
@@OldManRunner One other notable feature is the generation of daily workouts. You can hit the generate button on the app and chose one of 3 workouts (swipe left to see others) I think it takes care of your acute and chronic load (RSS) and RSB score.
@@OldManRunner The option to generate a workout goes away if you have done a workout in that day. I asked (on Stryd Facebook) group them to retain the button so a second/third workout for the day could be generated as long as RSB (Relative Stress Balance) allows for it. They said they will consider that for a future update.

Many thanks for putting this together, Barry.
Much to digest, hope you won't mind some questions once I've had a chance to watch the vlog a few times.
Ask away Bartek...one of the bits I like is trying to answer and figure out stuff...

FYI. Styd in its latest update added the capability of single foot visualization if you have only one Next Gen pod.

I like that feature. As I’m nearly always on one of their training programs it’s not one I will use much… but it’s a good development
