Important Update: NI says "Auto-migration only works with the latest versions of Cubase 12 (and higher), Nuendo 12 (and higher), Logic Pro 10.8 (and higher), Pro Tools 12.3 (and higher) and Maschine 2.16.0 (and higher)". In fairness, this list doesn't include VE Pro :). I've confirmed that Cubase 13 DID auto-migrate to Kontakt 8. I'll share a video about that later this week... So, in short this doesn't work in VE Pro. It worked flawlessly for me in Cubase 13!
Having a really tough time with Berlin Strings in Dorico & Cubase. The articulations are not showing up when SINE is invoked from within Dorico or Cubase. The articulations are supposed to highlighted but they're not and needless to say the articulations don't change during Dorico playback. Guess it's time to setup a different string library.
That’s a strange thing to happen… I’ve had similar issues, but they were always phantoms - meaning they didn’t persist. Sorry to hear about that - its surely frustrating!
@@musicchefpro The missing articulations are persistent here. In Dorico if I create a single instrument which loads ALL of Berlin Strings "Violin 1 Longs & Shorts" no articulations show in SINE. If I just chose one articulation from Violins Longs & Shorts I still get no articulations. (No problem with Violins II Longs & Shorts) Rather odd that you do not seem to have this problem. I suspect there is a problem with "Violins I Longs & Shorts" the only OT library I have that uses Midi channel 2 in addition to channel 1.
I'm in contact with OT support and trying to find an answer. We're both running the same hardware and software--I'm gonna hate but another expensive string library.
It looks like it’s just Cubase, Logic and ProTools (and Maschine). Here’s a link with more info: support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/12972701353757-Notes-about-Auto-Migration-of-Kontakt-Versions-in-DAW-Projects
I wasn’t sure, but I read good things about the interface and load speed improvements. I’m less interested in the new ‘features’ and more interested in a more robust workhorse tool :). So far, I’m impressed!

I have found their support to be very responsive. I’d be surprised if they can’t offer a manageable solution. Good luck!
@@musicchefpro I agree, OT support is very good. Waiting to see what they suggest.
Can auto migration work with studio one 7?

I don't really see the point in upgrading to Kontakt 8.

@@musicchefpro I feel I'd be paying for 90% of things I don't want, whereas I just want better searching.
