This is still extremely viable with a few changes to your loadout. It's useful for party support. Get the armor and belt as described in the video (they drop commonly and are cheap in the market). You only need the unique attributes, not some crazy stat roll, corrupted, etc. Just use whatever drops as-is, or get the cheapest ones in the market. Beyond that, add the following Uniques to your loadout: Helm - Leercast This gives your allies in range a 50% boost to their damage, while reducing yours by 25%. Gloves - Lochtonial Caress This allows you to Share charges with allies in your presence. Bow - Splinterheart This bow fires two additional arrows. All this gear priced today is obtainable for about 10ex. Now just party up with a bunch of monks (the best party mates anyway... no minions to lag the screen or AoEs so intense you can't see the targets, lol). You stand back (close to, but behind your party), and just spam the mobs with a barrage of arrows. Basically, you're the team battery, you are topping up everyone's charges constantly, while boosting their damage. Spec everything else into resist, defense, and life leech. You let your allies do all the damage, and hang back incase someone needs a res. If running with other monks, also lean into shock and freeze to pop their Metas often. Also look at attack speed. They'll need to spec more mana to support that, and they should have a rage stack going at all times. This is a party build, NOT a solo build. It works better with an organized team, not PUGs. Doing this, you can speed run the whole game with that party. It stalls a bit at the endgame, where you get too squishy to support your party, but you can adapt to that. This is really good for Chaos trials, XP-leveling below Level 70, and campaign clearing. You can also recycle the charges with the passive to support other builds. Just pick up some more stash tabs, so you can have dedicated load-outs for Party, Solo, Farming etc. If you have any friends you want to rush to end-game, this is the way to do it. They will level super-quickly. Their damage output will be much higher than their level, but XP scales on level, not damage output, so they will get no XP penalty for basically being buffed to twice their level in terms of DPS. Just remember, in this scenario you're not doing the damage, your party is. This game has a lot of untapped potential for well-constructed parties.
This video was made very early on, you definitely don’t need this anymore because of the combat frenzy change and also it wasn’t really really that great to begin with haha
I believe it worth to give up so much defensive for the pieces that a lot of people knew about this combo, but dont find . one of the best pieces for defence is the chest and this one just dosent cut it . works well early tho
@@magnusbd9484 yeah agreed later on it’s not going to be as viable if at all, but it’s carried me through the whole of NG+ so thought I would share for anyone that wasn’t aware 👌 Appreciate you watching the video!
Firstly thank you for the video Just got this armour piece myself however it says Lose all power chargers on reaching maximum power chargers - it's unscaleable.. what does that even mean?
No worries dude, I will say this is very outdated I’m maybe considering removing this information haha If you run a buff called combat frenzy It’s in the “archers” skill section you’ll need a spirit gem to Aquire the buff If your freezing and electrocuting enemies you’ll gain way more charges consistently using that buff! Only if your using monk as well sorry as you’ll need to take the resonance node in the passive skill tree, Combat frenzy got updated and it’s the meta way to gain power charges now If your not using monk disregard everything I said haha
To answer the question I think it just means it can’t be upgraded when you use Vaal orbs but every other value can be increased, a few unique say this and I think that’s all it means. Hope that helps you out man happy hunting 💪
Philma Groin i love that name, I'm definitely going to use this combo going forward cause i have that chest and didn't know how i could use it efficiently.
Haha it’s a classic, Wilma Fingerdoo is another great candidate 👌 It’s a really fun combo, I didn’t realise I had the wide belt from like act 1 still in my stash so everything worked out well when I realised it negated shock lol I don’t think I can go back to normal power charge generation after this… The chest piece has made screen clearing a frigging joy, take the quarterstaff node that lets you have a chance to use more (free) power charges when using power charges and then you really start cooking with gas!
2 is the new 100 haha Your right Resonance is fantastic and much simpler to use but I just wanted to show off that you don’t need those skills to generate power charges, which gives you more free skill slots to experiment with! Ironclad unique chest piece is probably much better late game tho

i would recommend taking a look at the Powertread hunting shoes
Wow dude I haven’t seen those yet…
That’s fucking wild what a neat set of boots, appreciate the knowledge drop 🙏
Okay leveling build, after that you NEED defense or evasion for invoker spirit

I do it with the frency aura with the passiv tree point so i get power charges. I just need to chill or shock someone.
Lingering illusion works quite well im always at 7 power charges
i use voll protector instead. redflare conduit is better?
100 uniques to make it work, just use Resonance in the passive tree for free
2 is the new 100 haha

combat frenzy gives you charges every 6 sec its only good to sustain charged staff if you want to use other abilities its trash.
@@dimitrisparaskeuopoulos7109 omg I forgot about the 6 second cool-down…
I haven’t used combat frenzy for a hot minute now haha
Oh, I see where you came from, okay fair enough, I agree with you
Good luck res capping...
Haha your not wrong not sure if this is even viable at endgame mapping I’ll e the one to find out haha but for getting through NG+ it was a godsend
Enjoy capping your resist :p
