    Grover Cleveland actually won the popular vote 3 times in a row, but Benjamin Harrison won the electoral vote the second time in 1888.

    30:50 Ouch. Such a tight result from the audience on that tricky $64,000 question. Only 25% of the audience answered choice B correctly. But hey. 32 grand is good enough still as long as nobody has anything to lose shortly after reaching an important level.

      It’s even worse that he knew it wasn’t the audience 2nd choice 😭 meaning the only way he lost the question is if 18% of the audience picked the right answer with nah

    There is no way the 50/50 is random. It always, ALWAYS leaves the answer the contestant is considering.

      I've heard that it tends to leave the wrong answer that is easier to confuse with the correct one which mostly coincides with what the contestant is deciding between

    The $64,000 question was a trick question ... I thought it was Grover Cleveland too ... Grover Cleveland served a second term not connected to his first term , but guess it had nothing to do with not being eligible for a second term ....

    • @WWTBAMclassics
      @WWTBAMclassics  6 лет назад +6

      Yep. Cleveland won the Democratic nomination after his first term, but was defeated by Benjamin Harrison, the Republican, in the general election (Cleveland beat Harrison in a rematch four years later).
      Pierce didn't even win the Democratic *nomination* when he ran for a second term as he was defeated by James Buchanan at the party convention, so he was the correct answer here.

    How the hell did he or the audience not know the silver sterling question? Seemed comically easy, it's obviously not gonna be gold or platinum, because they're both worth much more than silver and moreover platinum is a much newer element and you're obviously not gonna cut silver with iron lol, so that leaves just copper. No knowledge needed but simple logic

    When a contestant overthinks like the first bald guy (who isn't married obviously for the same reason) they ruin the show.
