The Error of Dispensationalism - 119 Ministries

  • Viewing Scripture through the indoctrinated lens of dispensationalism has become the most common theological framework in mainstream Christianity. In this teaching, we examine dispensationalistic thinking, test it to the word, and allow the audience to generate their own conclusions and begin their own study on the subject matter. We pray that this teaching only blesses and serves the body, allowing His people to see the Word the way our Father intended, and the way our Messiah modeled for us.

Growing up in only dispensationalism theology, it is very interesting to hear concise and logical teaching of this matter. I always had questions as to why we basically ignored so much of what the OT had to say and made the Bible out to be one way for Jews and one way for gentiles. Thank you.

Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ?
(Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30)
The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations?
      1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Galatians 3:8)
      2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ?
      3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds?
      4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh?
      5. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers?
      6. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"?
      7. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost?
      8. Based on Hebrews 9:15, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.)
      9. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9) Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
      10. Watch the RUclips video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church.
Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology.
Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church:

“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107.
Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323.
John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated…
"...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.”
      John F. Walvoord, The Rapture Question.1979, p. 25
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are there two peoples of God in John 10:16? (See also 1 John 2:22-23, 2 John 1:7-11.)
What is the land promise to the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:15-16?
Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Will it be replaced by a new earth?
Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups?
Who is the New Covenant promised to in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and Hebrews 8:6-13?
Will modern Orthodox Jews ever be saved outside of the New Covenant Church?

      New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14.
      Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (Acts 2:36)
      =====================
      The Word “Baptize”:
Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. The Holy Spirit is the master teacher promised to New Covenant believers in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and is found fulfilled in Ephesians 1:13, and 1 John 2:27. Unfortunately, many modern Christians see water when they read the word "baptize" in the text. Based on the above, what is the one baptism of our faith found in the passage below? How many times is the word "Spirit" found in the passage, and how many times is the word "water" found in the passage?
Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
      Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
      Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

A very thorough study covering all elements. I have recently delved into Dispensationalism after attending a Baptist church for the first time. At first the teachings seemed normal but eventually I have started hearing the undertones of dispensationalism and the strange teachings that it leads to. I try to argue without any luck. They are quick to shut you down if you believe in one body of Christ. And the false teaching that Christ's ministry to set up the kingdom was an utter failure. Then they teach of Paul's dispensation which is truly idolatry. And teaching that Peter and Paul were different religions where Peter's church failed and Paul's church succeeded.
Well, that is my experience with Dispensationalism so far. And what I am hearing at this Baptist church. Among other strange teachings.

    Galatian 3:26-29
26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,
27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and
female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then
you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
I wouldn't say we are the holy nation called Israel, which is an earthy nation. But rather we
are called to become the holy nation to the one king who is now in heaven Jesus.
In Galatian 3:28 states that there is no longer Jew nor gentiles in this holy nation. Even
male and females are not differentiated in this holy nation. Neither slave nor free. We
    are One in Christ Jesus.
Meaning this holy nation is not an earthy one. We are all Abraham's seed when we
consider Jesus as our lord. There is no Israel yet when Abraham walked on earth.
    My 2 Cents
However, that being said, I agree that the multitude of human doctrines written over God's
word is so immense that those books of men may have greatly undermined the original
message of the Word of God when Christians reads them more readily than the Bible.
Indeed the doctrines of men have caused more division than unity in Christ Jesus.

I just couldn't finish listening to this ! Lets take a different look at this. I think you view the word church as a set group of people that you can cram everyone into. How about the word saint? does that always refer to believers in Christ as savior ? The word is rife through out the old testament and that refers to the Jews, yet they knew nothing of Christ. In Daniel the word saint refers to angels. The church in the wilderness is ole testament and is obviously referring to Jews, not born again believers. That church knew nothing of Christ as savior. Adam and Eve are part of the church ? REALLY ? which one ? I refer you to a point in time when Jesus asked his disciple's " Whom do men say that I am "? Peter answers "Thou art the Christ the son of the living God" Jesus then said he would build HIS church on that statement. Did he ? Is that the Gospel that is preached on Sunday's in Christian churches today ? I thought Paul's gospel 1 Cor 15 was the gospel we preach. The church in the days of Jesus was built on Christ as the Jewish Messiah, not on him as savior dying for our sins. Please read Acts 3. It's a different dispensation that ended when Jesus gave Paul the mystery of the gospel we all know. It was a mystery because know one but God knew of it until Paul Eph 3:3 If everything is one, then why was Paul arguing with the disciples in Gal 2:9. ? Why did he call the gospel we preach " My Gospel" Rom 16: 25. He never said the gospel, or church, we have all known since Adam and Eve. Even if you don't like it, God has dealt with different people in different ways over time, and he will still be doing that even in the Tribulation. Read Rev 14:6 is the everlasting gospel the gospel we preach ? NO, its a different gospel for a different dispensation.

I listened to this because it’s always healthy to challenge our beliefs, I believe in dispensations.
I think the fundamental misunderstanding here is that SPIRITUAL Israel is not the same as PHYSICAL Israel. Gentiles in the church age are counted as spiritual Israel but not physical. There are way too many scriptures in the new testament that make a distinction between Jews, Gentiles, and the Church. This is where i’m at, but i’m always praying for God to show me where i’m wrong.

      Matthew,
Good attitude. There is a difference between physical descendants of Israel and the Spiritual family of God, but that does not make the dispensational SYSTEM true or good.
Dispensationalism teaches that God is totally done with Israel, and the Temple will never be rebuilt, that the promises God swore to Israel are now null and void and apply only to "the church". It assumes that God the Father was betrothed to Israel at Mt. Sinai, and Jesus' bride is the church (or, alternatively when they realize that it was, in fact, YHVH (Yahweh JESUS who was betrothed to Israel at Sinai, that He has DIVORCED her.) Matt 19:4.

I've been tripping out the last few days. I have been watching certain main stream pastors who always seem to glorify everything being done in our part of the world, as being devine by God and almost like for such a time as this. What weirded me out was that i believe some religious leaders may be giving directives to our leader and comparing him to Cyrus in the bible. So i looked up verses about Cyrus in the bible, to find out that Cyrus built a wall and did many other things including destroying Babylon. Wow!!! He built the wall, what's next? Why does it appear that we are re- creating the past? Is this part of the dispensationalist movement? The bible says you will find the end in the beginning, is this really what it meant, or is this just a human outlook? When i was young and impatient, i remember saying, how would God do it? I'll do it like God. Im just blown away by what i am seeing. To me this doesn't seem right.

The law is not only for Jews. It’s for the saved Israel. You don’t know the Scriptures. You fail when you go after the lies of the world. Toares being deceived, the whole world is deceived by the lie of dispensationalism. Lawlessness is not allowed. Never was.
“Depart from me, you workers of iniquity (lawlessness)! That’s something nobody wants to hear! But, being lawless, after being saved to come back to the Father (1JOHN 3:4) in obedience, well, that’s exactly everybody is going to hear! Grace is a favor to come back to the Father and start to walk in THE way appointed by HIM).
To our Father, a matter is only established by 2 or 3 witnesses, well, Paul is the only witness to the grace without obedience! That’s how people understand Paul. But, he clearly states that: You’re saved by faith UNTO obedience (good works). Who gets to define the words used in the Bible? The Author of it! And the Author says: Good works for him are obedience to his Torah (His instructions for eternal life).
The Messiah is the way (the Way appointed by the Father), He is the living Torah (Psalms 119:142) and the life (the tree of life, not the tree of good and evil, not the tree of lawlessness). Think about it and pray that YHWH brings you before the Messiah. Only the Father brings the believer before the Messiah , so nobody can call on Him or accept Him. It’s the Father who brings them to the door of salvation! And now, saved, that person walks in the Way, the way of the Torah!

Where and how to explain the extent of the deception .
For starts do you understand that Names are transliterated and not translated ?
Mt Everest is Mt. Everest in every language and Biten, Trump, Putin etc. Names are transliterated.
Our saviors name is not the Pagan Greek name of Jesus , It is, has always been and always will be Yahshua. This may serve as the next pivotal truth of understanding or bread crumb of unleavened bread you may follow in pursuit of the truth.

Having grown up as 3rd generation dispensation
alist I moved away by reading my Bible and seeing the error.
One thing that concerns me is that once you start talking about keeping the Sabbath ( which actually is Saturday) then you risk getting back into the legalistic rule keeping that I grew up in. If you follow the first commandment, all others should follow naturally. When you are saved you enter into the Sabbath rest away from all your own labours and attempts at keeping yourself saved by following commandm ents. ( Hebrews 4 )

The WORD legalism is not ever mentioned by GOD as a sin or even something that exists! it is an imagination boogeyman to demonize the people who know we must keep all GODS commandments to be saved including the 4th that said remember. No unrepentant murderer will be given eternal life in the final analysis. So the murder spree must stop and they must obey that command that LAW or hell awaits. To cease from murdering people does not cause one to raise from the dead to live for ever. It is GOD who judges and raises to eternal life .But it is ABSOLUTE REALITY that one MUST OBEY THE LAW THAT SAID THOU SHALT NOT KILL or one will be put in hell. NO murderer hath eternal life ABIDING in him!! One thus MUST OBEY literally that law BEFORE GOD WILL give unforfeitable eternal life which ABIDES! Does stopping his sin of killing people give him eternal life? HOW STUPID! Of course not! But MUST he OBEY the LAW before he gets eternal life. Even IF he haad eternal life at conversion or his name will be blotted OUT by GOD as he promised. NO MURDERER hath eternal life ABIDING in him. So the keeping of the LAW MUSTR be or else one will not live forever! Now it is the same with ALL the LAW GOD spoke at SINAI! One MUSTY cease from doing adultery as David did! One must CEASE from being an idolater or hell awaits. And one must cease from the wickedness of working when GOD said DO NOT work but remember the sabbath day to keep it holy. Without holiness no man shall even SEE GOD!
If obeying Gods laws is a sin called legalism then I declare the real sin is ILLEGALISM!

    Heidelberg Catechism part 14 - God's Law
created by Reformed | Dec 9, 2022 | Systematic theology
    Table of Contents
Question 92: What is God's Law??
Question 93: How do the commandments divide??
The position of the Dort Synod regarding the Sabbath .
Question 92: What is God's Law??
AND. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. You will not have other gods before me.
II . Do not make an engraved image or similarity to those of the sky that are in the sky and which are low on earth and which are in the waters underground. You will not bow to them or serve them; for I am the Lord your God, a jealous God in love, haunting the iniquities of fathers over sons in the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, and doing mercy over thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
III . Do not take the name of the Lord your God in vain; for the Lord will take revenge on him who takes his name in vain.
IV . Remember to celebrate it for the day of rest. You will do six days and do all your work. But on the seventh day the Lord your God is resting; you will not do any work in it, you and your son, and your daughter, your servant, and your handmaid, your livestock, and your guest, who is in your gates; Because for six days the Lord created heaven and earth, sea, and whatever is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the day of rest, and sacrificed him.
V . Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be extended in the land that your God will give you.
    Vi. You will not murder.
VII . You will not commit adultery.
VIII . You will not steal.
IX . You will not speak false testimony against your neighbor.
X . You will not covet your neighbor's house, nor will you covet your neighbor's wife, his servant, his maiden, his ox, his donkey, or any thing of your neighbor.
    (2 Moses. 20: 1-17; 5 Moses. 5: 6-21)
Question 93: How do the commands divide??
In two parts (tables). First contains four commandments about our attitude towards God. Second - six commandments about our duties towards people.
5 Moses 4:13 Then he told you his covenant, which he commanded you to fulfill ten commandments, which he wrote on two stone tablets.
    .
Mat. 22: 37-39 And Jesus answered him: You will love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the other is similar to him: You will love your neighbor as yourself.
    .
5 Moses. 10:12 So now, Israel, what the LORD asks of you, your God? Just make you afraid of the LORD, your God, that you may walk all His ways and love Him l, and serve the LORD your God with all your heart and all your soul.
3rd. 19:18 You will not take revenge and you will not hide your grudges against the sons of your people, but you will love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD ...
The position of the Dort Synod regarding the Sabbath
    .
    1) In the fourth commandment of God's Law there is ceremonial and moral element.
    2) Rest on the seventh day after creation and strict observance of the day on which the Jewish people were particularly burdened was ceremonial.
    3) That a specific and designated day which was put aside for the service of God and that for this purpose such rest is required as is necessary for God's service and for sanctified contemplation; this element is moral.
    4) The Jewish Sabbath was set aside and Christians have a solemn duty to celebrate Lord's Day.
    5) This day was always preserved in the original Church since the time of the Apostles.
    6) This day should be like this dedicated to God's service that in it people rest from all ministerial work, except for those that are required by charity and current needs, as well as from all such entertainment that prevents God's service.

@Julie Garcia You asked: "Will God punish those of us who do not keep the Sabbath?"
Remember sinners will not be in heaven. Who do you think Jesus was referring to on this verse?
      Matthew 5:19
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
      Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
      2 Peter 2:21
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
      James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
      ● Jesus said: He is the Lord of the Sabbath Day. (Matthew 12:8)
      Isaiah 66:23
And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one SABBATH to another, shall all FLESH come to worship before me, saith the Lord.
      ● Jesus said: If you love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15)
      Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the TREE OF LIFE, and may ENTER IN TROUGH THE GATES INTO THE CITY.
      ● When you keep the 7th Day Sabbath, you are recognizing the God, the Creator (Exodus 20:11 and Revelation 14:7).
      Exodus 20:8-11
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
      Revelation 14:7 (1st angel said)
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Hope this helps. Do not hesitate to call upon me for anything I can help you with God's word.
May God bless you continuously and keep you safe.
      Love in Christ.

Grafted in means we become part of Israel. Christianity is under the assumption that Gentiles are part of a new covenant, but they are "grafted on." Jesus came only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And the New covenant is ONLY for the 2 Kingdoms, Northern and Southern. The Jews today are only the Southern Kingdom which RETURNED after their captivity in Babylon. Israel, the Northern Kingdom NEVER returned yet according to the Bible. Their captivity was prophesied to be a longer punishment. It is told in the prophets that when they RETURN it will be even GREATER a miracle than the parting of the Red Sea. Great will be the day of Jezreel! We as Gentiles are grafted into God's covenant as Ruth was, or Rahab, Joseph's bride, Moses' bride; these were all Gentiles. Hagar is an example of one that refused to be grafted on, and was sent away (also see Ezra 10). Pagan wives who turned their hearts away from God are sent AWAY, even their children, like Ishmael was. Our entire story is in the Old Testament if you have eyes to see.

We are still the wild olive branch as gentiles in the church age... just because we have been “grafted in” doesn’t make us the original plant or make us the same.. or the original plant’s replacement! You and 119 are taking this analogy too far.

Body of Christ is SAVED under GRACE GOSPEL
New Covenant is the FUTURE for ISRAEL. Last chance to accept CHRIST so the Kingdom Gospel that was preached by the 12 was put on hold after the stoning of Stephen. Kingdom Gospel is back in effect when the BODY of CHRIST is removed during the "Gathering" aka the "Rapture."
So if anybody who doesn't accept CHRIST's finished work in this Present Grace Period will have another chance in the FUTURE but it will be harder because in the FUTURE it is back to the Kingdom Gospel.
CHRIST will only set up HIS KINGDOM through the kingdom gospel; water baptism & repentance.

@@manilabry8 Do you use Bible Gateway at all, or maybe another Bible search. Look up New covenant and read what the prophets say the New covenant is and what Paul says about the New covenant. Jesus IS the New COVENANT that the prophets foretold. If you are God's child and a future bride of Christ you enter into a covenant. Also look up the word grace, because it's all through the Old Testament. You look up the word Grace you'll see it existed even in the Old Testament. The age of Grace is made up by men. He told the end from the beginning, maybe the beginning has Clues to the end.

@@manilabry8 One more thing, Jesus was a Jew, from the tribe of Judah. When the kingdoms were split Northern and Southern, in the time of Solomon's sons, Israel and Judah we're formed. Both went into exile for their sins, Judah to Babylon for 70 years, in Daniel's time. They returned home after exile during many phases in Nehemiah and Ezra, etc... But the Northern Kingdom had sinned GREATLY against God. Why did these nations get punished? Disobedience. God divorced the Northern Kingdom of Israel, but not Judah, they repented, came back and obeyed. Israel went into captivity in Assyria, but there is no record of their return. Some people say that the country of Israel is proof they're returning, but if that were true than all the prophecies about peace and God's Laws going from Zion, Jesus coming back, and God dwelling with us, would have happened. And TelAviv would not be the LGBTQ capital of the world. The Prophets teach that God will place a New COVENANT in the hearts of His people Israel who have been scattered to every corner of the earth, and it will place God's Holy Law in their hearts, and they will keep it. God says when this happens they will no longer call Him Master, they will call Him HUSBAND. But how can God remarry someone he's divorced? Is against God's Own law. (Deuteronomy 24/ Matthew 5:32/ Romans 7:32). God could NOT remarry Israel, UNTIL He died. That's HIS LAW. Jesus came and made a New covenant (marriage proposal) and died to buy His bride. Now we have a choice, we can either act like a faithful bride, or an adulteress one who let's her light go out. "For this commandment is a lamp and the LAW is a LIGHT, and Corrections and instructions are the way to life." If He told the end from the beginning.... the serpent was more crafty then any Beast in the garden the Lord God had made, and he said, "Hath God REALLY said?"... Yup God REALLY said OBEY His COMMANDMENTS, in fact He said it probably over 100×. Jesus even taught obedience to God. Only the enemy has come in the last days, to destroy God's word, to destroy the testimony of Jesus. He's took the Commandments and the Bible out of school, he's taking the Commandments out of all our judicial buildings, he's even swayed churches to teach the Commandments are done away with now. Churches have become Progressive and the allow sin to run rampant. READ Psalm 119, READ Psalm 1, READ Deuteronomy chapter 13. It's a test! Study the word, do not be deceived.

Seems like Romans 14 indicates that as believers (faith in gospel message - death, burial, resurrection and faith as a gift of grace) we will have differing levels of faith - and have liberty with our faith (hence no need for some of the laws this message is directed to at this time of the letter to Jews and Gentiles in Romona church from Paul)

The errors of Dispensationalism are undeniable. The Idea that God has two people and that the church was an afterthought or even "plan B" denies the very sovereignty and foreknowledge of God who ordained the Lamb from before the foundation of the world. However, to argue that the law (as contained within the Mosaic Covenant) was to continue eternally, is to also deny the clear speech of Jesus himself, who, in the same text as He assured his listeners that he do not come to destroy the law (but to fulfil it) indicated that indeed it would "Pass away" The time of it's passing would be the passing of heaven and earth, or at the time when All Things were fulfilled. Of course, he spoke of the fulfillment of all of the Law and the Prophets. To make these two ideas to be separate concepts is to do despite to the Word of God. The Jews understood that "the heavens and the earth" were figurative words to describe the Mosaic economy, and their "passing" was very much foretold in the same kind of language that Jesus later used to describe the destruction of their nation and their city. In Matthew 24:29 He said: " Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: " The writer of Hebrews makes the same reference when he wrote: (Heb 12:26-29) Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. (27) And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. (28) Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: (29) For our God is a consuming fire.
The consuming fire he referred to connects us straight back to Jesus warning of the fire that would consume Jerusalem and it's temple. The heavens and the earth were to pass away leaving believers to inherit a kingdom that connot be shaken.
So the real question concerning the "passing away of the law" is not whether it was to pass away, but in fact when would "all be fulfilled" And to answer that we have the very words of Jesus in the same Olivet discourse recorded by Luke, when he declared that this destruction of the Mosaic order, with it's temple and its priesthood was to occur together.
Luk 21:20-22 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. (21) Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. (22) For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Notice: "THAT ALL things that are written may be fulfilled"
Again, this is Scripture interpreting Scripture. Jesus himself referring back to what He stated in Matthew 5:17-19.
Forty years - a reflection of the forty years of wandering in the wilderness, fulfilled as the New Born redeemed Church came out of the Jewish "Egypt" by virtue of the Lamb of God our Passover Lamb and entering the promised land of the New Covenant.
Did the Law pass away as Jesus said it would?
Yes, for the writer of Hebrews saw it coming when he wrote in 66 AD (Heb 8:13) In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Ready to vanish. Four years later, it was gone.
The fact that the New Testament was written between the Cross and the End, sometimes give rise to confusion over just how "jewish" God's eternal purpose is, as the Church and the Gospel was largely to the "Jew first" but also to the Greek" But in the bigger picture, Moses is gone. Jesus reigns.
    Blessings.

Problem. Jesus words cannot contradict the prophecy spoken about him before he came.
Luk_24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Deu 18:17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Deu 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
      The Prophets
Isa 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
      Same Context
Isa 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
      The Psalms
Psa 89:27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
Psa 89:28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
Psa 89:29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
      Psa 89:30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
      Psa 89:31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Psa 89:32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
Psa 89:33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
Psa 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Excuse me, I want to give an argument bout that. As a nation and believers is different context. Jews that believe in Jesus Christ, is one body of Christ. You can't take nation in context and believers as a body. So If you talk about ISRAEL IN NATION CONTEXT is the body of Christ, a lot of JEWS(as a nation) rejected Jesus Christ can be called the body of Christ?

Jesus was born under the law and lived perfectly by Father God's power. AFTER HE DIED AND ROSE AGAIN HE FULFILLED THE LETTER OF THE LAW AND THE NEW COVENANT WAS RATIFIED IN HIS BLOOD. The Apostle Paul made this very clear. I AM NOT a premillennial Dispensationalist.
The point I'm making is that in His Death Jesus fulfilled the law. While He was ALIVE He kept the law. He HAD TO!!! The law is God's character and are His instructions to His people I AGREE but ONLY THE BLOOD OF JESUS SAVES .

So do you think the actual name "Jesus" holds No power & if so...
then over all these centuries when people have called upon the name of Jesus it is nothing more than a placebo effect in people's minds?
People by the way who have given testimony as to what happened immediately after they cried out/called upon the name of Jesus in this or that horrible or whatnot moment that they did.
      Added to that....
Have all the people over the last 500 years that repented & got saved using, believing & having faith in the name of Jesus not really been given salvation or been saved?
My answer to the above is: The name Jesus does have power when one truly calls upon Him
      And
Yes, over the last 500 years people that have gotten saved using the name Jesus really are saved.
I know this to be true because God would not allow all those generations, 5 centuries worth, to not have the gift of salvation over the translation of Jesus's actual name when He was made man in the flesh, was crucified & arose from the dead therefore gaining all who repent, ask, believe & profess Jesus is Lord.
(After all it was God that confounded the languages of man at the tower of babel. I'd guess God knew the affect of that would be translations from one language to another. Translations like names....)
I am truly interested in what you think/what your thoughts & beliefs are about the above questions.

      All agree with your statement.
But this is a statement that is now true since Pentacost. You might be missing his point. He is saying that all saints in history were in the Church. A factor never taken into account is that Israel never started until Jacob, Abraham's grandson. Abraham, Isaac, Noah, etc. were members of neither Israel or the Church. And God told Israel that they were like no one before them. And Paul described the Church as
" one new man" of both but now indestinguished, the Church is therefore not Gentiles nor Jew, NOT ISRAEL.

What Gospel has been preached from the beginning of time at the Garden of Eden?
The Gospel of the Messiah (heel to serpent) . The more that Gospel was preached the more we understood about that Christ / Messiah. Eventually we found out through Moses He would be an Israelite. Then we learned The Messiah would be from the Tribe of Judah.
The we learn that He would write Yehovah's Laws on our hearts and bringing allvthe world even the gentiles back to God family, Family of Active Faith in love to God.
The Gospel plan has always been the restoration of all back to Yehovah through the Jewish Messiah so that we would all Love Yehovah and keep the righteous requirements of the Law in love through the lead of the Spirit.
That's the Gospel. It's not new 2000 years ago.
