Ich bin auch ein großer Fan von Old Spice , nur ist es immer wieder schwer an diese Produkte heranzukommen, dazu die horrenden Preise. Ich hab jetzt eine Old Spice Seife ersteigert. Mal sehen ob sie so gut ist. Leider benutze ich nur den R 41 und Feather oder die Originale von Mühle. Leider besitze ich nicht solch reichhaltiges Rasur Sortiment wie Sie. I have an original Old Spice puck and the scent is completely gone but it still lathers like a champ! Floral arrangement is top shelf as always! SOTD was also the King C, PAA Lavender Planet soap, lavender WH ( home concoction), Lavender Planet balm, followed by a spritz of Canoe EDT.
Sunday so far has been very relaxing, thank you Mr H. Been out for a ride on the Royal Enfield with my daughter pillion, had a light bite to eat, now back home catching up on some RUclips ready to cook Haggis for tea!
Do you remember the scratch-and-sniff cards, they tried with a TV magazine? back in the eighties? never really worked. Can't remember if it was the Radio Timed or the ITV magazine. The splash I got with that soap is in a brown bottle but it was a pre-launch set. But I agree with your comment on it.
Ha! I knew it! I suspected you'd absolutely love that one. Out of the 3 Shulton dupes in my collection, this one is far and away the closest, at least to my untrained nose. Same with the Vintage Faberge, although in all fairness I haven't smelled either of the originals in decades and am going strictly on memory.

Most homage shaving soaps are very good at replicating scents. Stirling Spice is the homage that's the closest to Old Spice in my collection. One day I'll have to try Vintage Spice. My SOTD was an all-Stirling " (soap, balm, and splash) "Margaritas in the Arctic". I also used my PaulHFilms brush to bowl lather. The razor of choice was the Rockwell 6S w/ a Wilkinson Sword (Germany) blade. My compliments to Mrs. H's Sunday display. Enjoy your dinner outing. Oh yeah...nice Sunday shave.
I have a couple of spice scents in my humble den of around 285 soaps, these are first the real one ( also have spare puck from shelton ), soap commander endurance, striling spice , barrister and mann reserve spice , etc etc ) , regards from mexico , for me the barrister is the nicest one
I think the technology does exist for a Smell-o-Vision. Basically, using a fragrance diffuser like an artist's paint palette. Instead of paint colors, the device would contain fragrance or scent oils, which could be combined to make aromas. A person, such as yourself, would send a QR or other code in the video, and the diffuser would translate it into a described or recognizable smell.

Good morning Paul. Very enjoyable shave. I have always loved old spice. This version i need to get. Ive got paa cold spice which if pretty close to the original too. The scent of spice always opens up memories for me. Your shave gave me my own sotd. I used my king c gillette razor. With cold spice soap. I used old spice as the splash, and cremo amber spice balm which pared well. You and mrs h have a great meal out and a great sunday 👍
Hey Paul great shave. I love finding Old Spice scents. I will be adding that one to my collection. This weekend is Thanksgiving weekend for us. So we have 3 family meals this weekend. My SOFD. MacDuff Shaving Company Harvest Sky soap and after shave splash. Razor is my Merkur 34C with Gillette 7oclock Green razor first use. I used my Paul H Film brush 😊. I'm telling you this Harvest Sky is one of my favorite fall scents in my collection. It's a must try for anyone who loves fall scents. Have a great Sunday. Take care

Because Mr. H is a very busy man answering questions lol, I'm gonna answer your question. I have all 3 and I can tell you that paa cold spices is a perfect dupe of the shoulton shave soap. In the paa soap you can acknowledge the menthol but it's not overpowering to mask the old spice scent if that makes sense. The perfect copy of the shoulton soap is the Stirling spice soap, I found MSC take on very close but it's not the perfect dupe, due to imo has more pronounced spicy fragrance than the shoulton original version. Good morning, and hello to you in Texas USA . Both of these are very close to the Shoulton, but for me this Vintage Spice is the nearest. Aftershave is good too, but has something in it which does change it slightly compared to the original. PAA version has a bit of menthol in it.

Man i been having a rough time trying to lather with an 18mm boar brush. Maybe it’s bc i’m not soaking it first. But it seems like my cream is ether too watery or too dry. And then the brush gets floppy even though it’s small. I know i’m new to wet shaving with a brush but i thought boar was supposed to have backbone and have scrubbyness.
I just bought this razor and I haven’t got around to get myself a shaving soap and are therefore still using a normal shaving cream. I just tried shaving today for the first time but my blade barely got any hair. Am I making a mistake or is there an optimal way to shave?

You mentioned you’re no professional, Paul. But that doesn’t really mean anything. I mean, there are some professional barbers and hairdressers who couldn’t give you a good shave or basic haircut even to save their lives!

One I remember is a HongLong DE Razor, just a terrible build quality, quite dangerous it was.
I have Vintage Spice and Vintage Faberge. I think they are the closest to the original Old Spice and Brut that you can get.

It is yes, Stirling Soap Co also do a close replica to the original scent, but I have only tried there soap not the aftershave.
