  • A few months ago, Lyric cycles made waves with the introduction of their graffiti and voodoo e-bikes. These are high end bikes with super73 looks combined with crazy power. A few months later, the bikes are no longer prototypes and have some big changes. Today we explore the new lyric voodoo and lyric graffiti.

      Onyx and surron did this smarter by not adding a VIN . People still get them registered if they want with the frame number, but having a vin like voodoo is going to get you in trouble because it gives the cop something to look up. Therefore negating the fact that it’s not an E bike. Pedals and vins don’t go together in this day and age. So lyric I’m sorry, but this bike should definitely include pegs not have to purchase them. Because it’s more illegal with pedals than pegs. I’m tired of worrying about this bike lol I just want it as an E bike I guess it’s not for me. I already have my motorcycle, car and Van. I guess I will just get a 60 mph push scooter with a removable battery now that they’re making them. Ha no hard feelings. I’ve came to the conclusion that if this bike didn’t have a Vin, I would buy it.

      @@MITCH1221 Thanks for your feedback. So you know, the DOT law in both Canada and the United States deems "footrests" as required for mopeds and motorcycles and has approved the use of pedals as these footrests. So it actually isn't "more illegal", it has already been legally approved with pedals. If your concern is being pulled over by a police officer, then that concern still exists on a Sur Ron and Onyx. Technically road rules don't allow any moving two wheeled vehicle with a throttle above 20mph. If you were ever pulled over by a police officer it's not that the VIN is easy to find and can be "looked up", you would be in the same situation as you would be if pulled over on an Onyx, Sur Ron, or any other vehicle traveling at the speed that the police officer was alerted to in the first place. While it's fun to think that the police could think you could pedal your way to 65mph it's not going to be likely, so we would rather that people did the work to register and insure our bikes and we have set them up this way so that it is easier to do. For our upcoming Graffiti X we have tried to satisfy riders like you that want the fastest bike possible in stealth "bike" clothing. So that may be more up your alley.

      @@lyriccyclesthank you I didn’t know that I really just want the extra power for hills and if I have to dodge out of a car not planning on using it at high speeds. If, and when I can figure out if I can register it as a moped, and get moped insurance. then I will most certainly buy it. It would be perfect. If you were bike came locked the class 2 at time of purchase, and then people could not have to register it and just get insurance e-bike insurance!

    • @lyriccycles
      @lyriccycles 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@mikes96fs no, not really. The pedals aren’t attached to anything on the rear wheel. If the bike is off the pedals turn but would not move the bike. When the bike is turned on turning the pedals makes the bike move because it signals the motor to turn.

    I’d like to see the performance on hills which seems it will not have any issue as the nominal power is high. Also the true miles will be interesting. I see it being around 45 miles very possible 55 as advertised. A current ideal number would be a hundred plus miles, but that would require a lot more battery as the technology is not there on the market for such mileage with less battery weight. You’d think with the price point compared to non EV’s it would/should be able to reach reach 150-200 miles in distance. Oh well one has something to look forward to hopefully in the near future. Where are the battery technology upgrades as that hasn’t kept up with the rest of EV’s in general.

      100 miles of range is possible, but as you said, needs a lot more battery capacity and this comes with cost. Damon Motorycles is building a 200 mile range electric sport bike, but the price is over $30k. You don’t have to worry about the Voodoo on hills. It accelerates faster than you can barely hold on. That motor is crazy.
