hi thing my one has some thing bad on it as wel reel table on right side under the spool hides it i have a teac 44 water got on front panet from last man who had it use from a 80-8 that tascam nanji parted out please never leave decks where they can get wet
That’s a tough one. I’ve never been a fan of the way the 747 recorded although it’s playback is outstanding. The 747 has more features with a digital counter. The Technics does 15 ips and records better. It’s a toss up, both have great features. If I had to choose I would go with the 1506.
@@marcusdolby1 I have Q , could the 4 track machine play 2 track reel ?! Or must each tape plays on the right track machine , so u can get perfect sound ?! Cuz I am planing to buy 747 but it is 4 track and it is with 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 ips , while the rs1500 can playback 2 and 4 track , also can play the 3 3/4 , 7 1/2 , 15 ips ,, it is wonderful, My reel that I want to play them on a machine, I did not know what their specifications , thats why I am really in trouble! What is ur suggestion
@@ER7ABY No, a 4 track machine will not playback 2 track tapes. The Technics will because it has the special to track head. The Technics is a 3 speed deck and the Akai isn’t.
On this Technics 1506 you can record ONLY in 4 track on BOTH 'sides'* of the tape, but can replay pre-recorded 2 track. *Once you finish recording, the reel (from the right spool), can be removed and flipped over and placed on the left spool and recorded again, thus you have side A and side B. The 1500 model can record ONLY in 2 track, but replay pre-recorded 4 track tapes. 2 track recording does NOT permit flipping over the reels. The Technics 1700 is the 2 direction deck. When the tape reaches the end (on the right reel), the tape will reverse direction and play with the tape spooling to the left reel.

It sold on eBay.
Do you know how to digitise vintage tape to Mp3 ? With high Quality
Not really but I imagine you would need quality A to D converters.
@@marcusdolby1 what u mean by quality A to D converter ,,
Last thing , i would like to buy akai 630 d ss ( 4 track with 3 speeds ) what do u think ?
@@ER7ABY AD converter. Analog to Digital converter. Or interface. Those are good decks.
Can tell me which better ? Akai gx747 or Technics rs1500 ( yours )
