"The Blur" is a metaphorical term. Superman's "blurred" image(yes it started out as a literal blurred image) is the typical Clark Kent image that we all know. Glasses plus an average Joe personality, and MUCH less superior. Great video about Lois and Kal-El/Clark. My #1 favorite episode of the third season was "Relic" in which Clark/Kal-El received visions of the past in which he actually was seeing Jor-El's life through his eyes....well at least a few segments of his life while Jor-El was visiting Earth and walking the streets of Smallville, KS and he fell in love with Louise McCallum whom happens to be Lana Lang's great-aunt.
