I became a member of the church because of the for the strength of the youth pamphlet, way back in 1991, and had change my life until now, went on a mission, became more faithful in church and love for the Savior.

8:05 “As we approach the Savior’s return, and the social fog of confusion that will precede it, the Church will become more and more focused on things that will bring our youth closer to Christ sooner in their lives. The new For Strength Of Youth Guide for making choices is an example of this. (…)”

Thank you for addressing the concerns of so many after receiving the new Strength of Youth pamphlet. I admit I was a bit disappointed that there were not specifics as I had grown up with and now fully understand the reasons for the new pamphlet. God is giving the youth a higher law and trusts that they will succeed with the help of the Holy Ghost.

FSYconferences draw the youth closer to our father in heaven. I witnessed the tremendous results in Haiti because of attending the first FSY. Almost every single young who attended served a full-time mission.

This is why rules aren't Gospel principles!
    Jesus gave 2 commandments!

The church preaches (Moses 6.23) only principles; yet, it’s the Holy Ghost which teaches the practice. I would never trust solely any mortal (2 Ne 4.32,33) whether prophet , priest , or King other than our Redeemer (Isa 9.6)!
Certainly faithful Uriah learned how a king that esteemed himself so highly as to steal another man’s wife is a person of grotesque inner lack of quality !

    • @purplerain0517
      @purplerain0517 11 месяцев назад

What king stole your wife dude? What quarrel do you have with the church? Did some king steal one of your ancestors, and marry her and y'all have kept a freaking Montague and Capulet type grudge for centuries? Or are you projecting your own personal traumas onto a religion? I get it man.
My dad caught my brother molesting me, and that's why he left the church. It made more sense to his brain if babies were "born in sin" than if he were to just hold his own son accountable for his actions, and also himself as a father, for being so negligent and dismissive of what may have been obvious warning signs of red flags that he could have stopped... that he could have prevented his little princess from being violated...how could he believe in a religion where children are capable of such atrocities?
      ...little did he know...
My mom comes from California...and told me we have a little bit of "Indian" blood in us. My mom is old school kinda indoctrinated racist, so she calls Native Americans "Indians."
The thing about the Natives though... many of them were Lamanites. A lot of them CHEROKEE😂 and (I'm pretty sure this goes for the African continent as well!) those Lamanites were cursed by Yakob (aka Jakob) to be white skinned to tell them apart from the Nephites, who were righteous and good in heart and mind! (I'd LOVE TO BE RIGHTEOUS AND GOOD IN HEART AND MIND!BUT TRAUMA HAS LEFT ME BROKENNNN! 😢)
...unfortunately, the racking frackin Nephites ended up turning into naughty little rat turds, while many of the other decendants of the Lamanites embraced the Gospel of Jesus Christ! So now we've got dark skinned followers of Christ, and light skinned followers of Christ, and they both carry genetics that are a blessing and a curse.
The mark of Caine is NPD. (White skin.) ...which both my parents have) And Jesus's bloodline gives you BPD. (Which both my parents have) which allows you to feel remorse, empathy, and compassion.
And it's only within certain families! So if you marry someone with BPD, and NPD and you have both BPD and NPD too, you're more likely to be not only RELATED, but possibly even to the same royal family. 😂😂😂
Aaaaand more likely to act on your attraction for someone who looks like your sibling, or mother, or father, or whomever it is you're related to and find attractive....
      So HøPE IS MY SISTERRRRR?!

It's the responsibility of parents to teach and lay down the rules. No trans sympathy. No lgbtq allyship required.

Wow. Not Christlike. Jesus is an ally to all. Pray about that. And choose to either be worthy to a church or worthy of being a true example of God’s work and Jesus love.

is it true that Brad Wilcox was appointed a Professor of Ancient scripture at BYU with ZERO academic quslifications in the field?

Brad Wilcox has many qualifications in education; I’m sure you can look them up. I’ve known him most of my life and can say he has been very well prepared by the Lord for whatever role, especially in teaching the gospel, the Lord has in store for him.

@@kathyyoungberg9022 public exposures of his ignorance of the true issues the church faces, reveal his complete absence of knowledge. While other behind the scenes actions by church leaders reveal they are very aware of the weaknesses in some of the truth claims, like watching the DNA issue, before it exploded, their risk management is very secretive & guarded. l like Coxxy, he's a great guy and a good man it's kinda cute how clueless he is, he's like a big cuddley teddy you push buttons on it and out dated mormon catch phrases from the 80's start playing. Actually that could be a business idea right there.

@@piedpiper3434 Secondary questions and concerns. Primary questions are ones like "Does the Book of Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus Christ stand as a witness of Him and draw me closer to Him as I live by its precepts?" Yes, it does, hands down.
A pattern I've noticed is that the Lord keeps options for doubt ever present. Perfect test conditions! On purpose, He won't let things be proven to secular satisfaction (historians, archaeologists, anthropologists, scholars, linguists, Egyptologists, etc.), not until the +times for testing+ are up. You think an all-powerful, all-knowing God isn't powerful and smart enough to keep His person and truths veiled from secular discovery and certainty, to keep His answer key out of reach of the unbelieving and faithless? In the wilderness, Jehovah was obscured by a cloud by day and fire by night; Jesus was obscured by +not+ addressing and solving major social and political problems. Etc. PERFECT test conditions!
Ponder on the fact that this life is a test of faith, to try our hearts, and what conditions need to be to test us. Please, rethink the attitudes underlying your questions and approach to finding divine truth!
1 Corinthians 2:14, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
I love you and just prayed for you!

What a beautiful treatment on God intentionally providing “faith conditions” for our growth so that we couldn’t rely on science alone.
Very well said and I thank you 😊

I don't think the Brethren are worried about any of the things you mentioned above! It is so interesting to observe what people do when they fall away from the church...it is just as Joseph Smith, hey cannot leave the church alone! What have you replaced it with?? Do you have any other preoccupation than to be a smart aleck and make fun of anyone in the church??!! What positive thing have you replaced it with?? You have nothing of course! And I can presume you are taking part in every trendy, worldly thing out there! If you have any light in you at all now try evaluating your life to see when period of your life were you happy
