Im getting married in a Caribbean island and all cost factored, we’re paying about $60k (from dress, suits, custom decor items, photobooth, rentals, professional fee, catering, welcome party with gift bags for both welcome party and wedding, etc for 100 guests). Original budget was $25k

I had a letter in each of our bags explaining that we were getting married. It was both in Spanish and English. I didn’t have to pay anything, they let us go

Can I ask, from when you booked with Dreams, what was the experience like? ie. When did they send the spreadsheet? How quickly were they to respond to emails? How flexible were they with change?

Hi! Haha I’m glad I could help! I’ve heard many brides tell me they were booking dreams Punts Cana! I first had a meeting with my travel agent, told her where I wanted to book. Within I would say about a week dreams responded and my original date wasn’t available. We then chose a different date. Within a week they sent the contract and the deposit information. I made the payment and signed and I heard back from them within 5 days. At that point they sent over the budget planner and catalogs. I didn’t hear from dreams until 3 months before the wedding when I spoke with my wedding coordinator. She was amazing, we had a phone call and emailed back and forth. She was very quick to respond. I didn’t have many changes but we finalized everything 2 days before the wedding when we were there. I couldn’t have asked for anything better

Yes here was the order of events:
Jan 31- most of our guests arrived, unofficial welcome party 7pm lobby bar
Feb 1- rehearsal dinner followed by bonfire (all of our guests had arrived to the resort by this time)
Feb 2- wedding

I paid for things slowly, I bought a few things a month and broke down the cost of the trip monthly and made monthly payments. I had a separate bank account I would transfer money to every month

I love your video, can you please tell me why did you get the rubber rings? Was it for safety? Or just so you didn't lose your actual ring? I was nervous about losing them at the pool or beach or excursions. As soon as we would get back to the room I would put my rings back on for dinner :)

Thanks for all the info. I’m also goin to dreams but in Puerto Vallarta they have never send me an excel sheet 😢 and our wedding date is not even two months away!’ When you made payments did they also go to their headquarters in Dominic republic I wonder if that’s why I haven’t received an excel sheet maybe the payments are going elsewhere and they have no organization of it but I would assume they all go trough the same headquarter.
No I believe my payment went directly to the resort wedding department. Sorry I’m not familiar with that resort
50k for a 12 day stay and paying for other amenities for guests is a good deal

The resort provided it to us once we booked our wedding date,signed our contract, and paid our deposit
I recommend Mexico for one the cheapest destinations possible

We booked the dj through dreams, we weren’t given another option. Yes we enjoyed him, just make sure you bring a playlist on what songs you want played throughout the reception

Hi Jennifer, you are an absolute saint for breaking this down. I’ve tried contacting the resort to get in contact with a wedding coordinator. After entering my info a few times to their generic “contact a wedding coordinator” form, I haven’t heard back. How did you get in contact with Paola and is there a way you can connect me with her or have her give me a call/email. I plan on getting married in march or April of 2025 so time is crunching lol.
Hey! Do you have a travel agent? My travel agent made initial contact with the resort and they were able to provide the dates that were available. Once you pick a date, they will email you the deposit and contract form
