Eva & Franco Mattes (b. 1976, Italy) are an artist duo based in New York.
They have continually made work that responds to and dissects our contemporary networked condition, always approaching the ethics and politics of life online with a darkly humorous edge.
Their work was recently the subject of a survey exhibition at Fondation Phi (Montreal, 2019), and they are preparing their first museum solo at Fotomuseum Winterthur (Zurich, 2021). Past solo exhibition venues include Team Gallery, Los Angeles; Essex Flowers, New York; Postmasters Gallery, New York; Carroll/Fletcher Gallery, London; Site, Sheffield. Their works can be found in the collections of the SFMOMA, Whitney Museum of American Art and the Walker Art Center.
