Zombie Pop, was made souly by Ian. Without any of the influences of Mito or Mr. Insanity. Also, Mito, can hit different vocal registers that Ian cannot.
Every time Ian drops an album he's my top listened to artist of the year! There are very few artists for me where every song off the album gets playlisted, but he's one of them.
The riff at the end of Calico is actually bass guitar! Ian plays bass himself and when he performs Calico live he plays the bass at the end. A few of his songs have some wonderful bass guitar running through them which Im just obsessed with. Thanks for reacting to and enjoying his B-sides!
When i said he has a no skip discography i meant it and i just can't think of many other artist who has a no skip discography im still amazed at how his music is so up to my valley like choosing my top fav tracks is still one of the hardest things to do it just keep changing every day depening on my mood . i remember not listening to any other singer when i discovered his music for 3 month straight i replayed the hell out his albums ,he's still my top most listend artist tho its just the chokehold his discography has on me is no joke
The first album definitely had more alternative/ indie rock vibe to it while the second more groovy RnB vibe to it And Dear Insanity EP has more acid trips & electro sound influence I love all of his musics.. it's so hard to just pick just a few.. but if I had to choose for my favourite b-side tracks would be "one shot" , it sounded soo good in live set.. I was so fortunate to be able to see his live performance.. Glad you like his works, welcome to the other side 💚🛣️🕴🏻
Honestly there is no skip in his albums! I recommend you to check them out there's only three albums and he's going to release a new album very soon:)) it's better to listen to them in the order especially MITO albums "mood swings in this order" and "mood swings in to order". He always puts some instrumental tracks as the introduction for the album. But in case you can't check them in to order here's some of them you missed (I didn't mentioned songs you've already heard a bit of them in MITO movie) : Mito, no silhouette, dope lovers, Mito reborn, sometimes I'm, the gods can bleed, famous last words, bad cold, welcome to other side
Let's goo. You should listen to the albums in order next time haha, but I'm glad you enjoyed all! Also, zombie pop does have an MV, "adobe x dpr ian", but you'll probably watch that in the variety day right? Some fun things: yes, Miss Understood is before Avalon. In Merry Go, he references Nerves and Welcome to the Show "Told you I was being nervous" / "Now I left you for the show." I wish there were two b-side days haha, most of these were from MIITO (album 2). album 1 is a masterpiece, it was my album of the year in 2021 (album 2 was my album of the year in 2022 too tho hahah). ps. you'll looove the live performance of calico, I won't spoil tho :) dpr ian is a mix of genres, mostly alt-rock, jazz funk, neo soul, trap pop. IAN only has one korean word in his discography in Mood, "Found the lightning coming from your 눈". About the visuals you imagined, he actually makes stories in his head and then makes a soundtrack to those stories, which ends up being his releases! My fave songs that you missed were Bad Cold and Dope Lovers. Def check his whole discography in order!
Yes, lol, I've done this a lot before I got comfortable enough that I could listen to it all outta order. But I still end up listening to them in album order at some point.
No skip discography.. unskipable
LITERALLY I listen to his Welcome to the Other Side playlist on Spotify on a daily basis

Ian never misses. Even the beats influenced by his alters turns out INCREDIBLE.
every single song hits!!

Same here, he’s been on my top 3 since 2020.

Calico's ending reminds me of old Daft Punk songs, which makes sense because DPR Ian is a Daft Punk fan.
