Even better idea ... don't be lazy, and disassemble your shocks completely so you don't mar your shock shaft :) Also ... "V4" shocks need dual plastic bushings in the bottom cap. This still allows a very small amount of oil and dirt and I suspect it's because there's not enough nor large enough surface area on the bushing to keep these shocks from pushing sideways on the seals opening them slightly (hence creating a sort of oval shape instead of staying perfectly round around the shaft) if that makes sense. IE. the shock shaft seems to sometimes not slide perfectly vertical and straight up and down. There's a bit of pressure on the side of the o-rings. Need 2 bushings in the bottom cap, and 3 seals including your new seal/scraper and then the shocks should hold up much better.
Buddy PLEASE use some softjaws for that vise!! Aluminum plates to go over those iron/steel teeth is all it is, you can make them out of cheap aluminum sheet metal..
Nice to see that you guys still make sure that this truck gets better and better! As a V3 owner, I would now wish for a V4 drivetrain with maybe better diffs that dont break at the shafts?

This looks like a great upgrade/fix for the leaking shocks!
Thank you email sent 👊👊👍👍
