I must say, I love the fact that the KO companies are not just giving us the original figure for literally 1/3 of the price but they're actually improving on it. Definitely looking to pick him up once I start my season 2 collection. As always great review:)
I believe I found a solution (at least temporary), to get the 2 square-like pieces of the trailer’s top, which were mistakenly assembled so that peg hit the opposite peg, hole lined up to hole (it was impossible to ‘mate’ both halves). Not for the weak of heart! Lol! 1. Use a sharp, precision “snips” tool/ wire-cutter and cut the pegs very low. 2. Find 2 LEGO (or off-brand) pieces that have 2 “bumps”/ [oo]

Just got mine from a seller who shipped quite fast for being in China (miffy21584). Very happy. The gun tabs were a bit loose, so tightened those up with a layer of clear nails just on the tab surfaces. Also, the tabs for squeezing together the trailer halves, both bottom and top, were a bit difficult. The bottom ones can be loose and move apart, so I clear nails to fix those. The tabs on the top (used to be the arms) are VERY hard to force together, but once you do they ease up a bit the next time. Overall, this is a REALLY good toy and great for the price. Light years better than my original G1. Several faces, everything is very sturdy once it's all tabbed together, and nothing feels like it's about to break. I found a way to store the second gun by shoving it into the space between the bottom / legs in trailer mode. Thanks for the review!
looks like we had some deluxe baldwin floor time :) haha it's a nice show piece and it's definitely cheaper. i don't think it improves enough for me to sell my MP22, though. you are right, they should have tried for a waist swivel!
At 13:34 you the square-like pieces (behind the missiles), and mention yours find always like to stay together. On my trailer, these 2 pieces *can not* tab together, as the pegs and holes are in the same place (I wish I could add a photo). The 2 small pegs hit each other and the holes face each other directly (it looks like one of these pieces should be rotated 180 degrees, and *then* the pegs and holes would line up properly, but there is no way I can find to do so, causing that section of the top of the trailer to have about 1/4”(inch) gap. This gap can make the rest of the pegs/holes/slots come apart far too easy! Has anyone else had this defect? Am I doing something wrong? The only way I see to “fix it” would be to cut or file the pegs down. 😣

You're welcome. I'm sorry you felt the same way I did. For a first MP, I'd say go for MP-39 Sunstreaker reissue. He is a beauty. The KO MP-39 is kinda consistent too though.
WindCharger I ended up enjoying it after what felt like a first few sets of grueling transformations. What bugs me is some of the tolerances not sitting flush but overall i enjoy it more than I did earlier. Lol. Gotta love how KOs now can house improvements for figures as well, such as this APC Prime that just arrived at my house.

Just got this figure today. I noticed in vehicle mode that there are spots on the side of the trailer that look like Autobot symbols pop in. There are no holes there though. Does anyone have this figure and has put Autobot symbols on him
Maybe takara paid you and thats why your review more on takara's favor watch "benskollectables" review so you can learn how to review..Did you review just to criticize the work of others?
I have the original and I have this.. I had way more fun with the OG but it’s my opinion but fact is my toy doesn’t tab well but my reviews have changed since and I think has more fun stuff compared to Goliath? LOL

@@Windcharger that toy wasn't made 100 percent that you hoped the outcome would be good it was made for people who can't afford to buy expensive things because when you're a poor creature it doesn't matter what the object you bought it as long as you're happy and that's what you dont know.
