@@Svenddiesel Does the raidzap not crack? Similar resins don't hold up to the squish test. Soft head holds up to the initial squish test for me, but after a few fish it peels off. Such a pain!
@@aw00gaaw00ga1 nope. Its the flex. He squished and stomped. I m not sure if the current formula on the market today works the same. They have bought out and I haven’t tested the current formula
@@Svenddiesel Thanks for responding! I'll pick up a bottle to try. I've seen a video of Drew Chicone using a Krylon spray over Copic so I'm also going to try that.
@@aw00gaaw00ga1 they make a flex coat as well which is a flexible epoxy if you have a curing wheel. Down side is it takes 24 hours to cure fully. But they are bomb proof
How did you get the popper head not to be so tacky? I used the same UV resin and a light coat and zapped it for way longer than you did in the video and mine was very tacky still lol I heard alcohol helps? Thanks for the help!
You can wipe it with rubbing alcohol or try setting it in the sun for a bit. Not sure, I’ve had some resins dry tacky but maybe you got a bad batch. I’d try it again with a fresh bottle or check the batteries if your light
It’s from Copic markers. Some fly shops will have them or you can search online. I hook mine to a compressor so I have the adapter can rather than use the disposal ones
Just in case anyone is curious, a 5lb co2 tank is AMAZING with copic airbrush system. Get an inline regulator, same system used for kegs. No noise, doesn't spit, and will last you a whole year. Then you spend $5 getting it filled anywhere they fill paintball tanks. I'll never use a compressor again.
See commend below. I use the Copic system. It’s easy. There may be others that could be better. I had already invested in the markers so it made sense for me
“By no means am I a professional” then pulls of a professional result, good job man.
Very informative. Beautiful popper head!
Thanks Svend, that's a good looking popper head 👌
Thank you
Very nice. Maybe I should invest in an airbrush kit because sharpies take forever and dont look as good
Great video. I have found Loon Outdoors Soft Head works great on these heads.
Yeah it cracks too easy for my liking. Wasted a good many paint jobs using soft head

Very beautiful color job! Do you get the Raid on Amazon. I don’t think I’ve see it in an online fly shop. Thanks for posting this. Neat stuff.
They discontinued it and now have it again but sold out. Check with spawn fly fish or send them an email to get it and they will get some for you
That is cool, thanks for the video
Thanks for watching
Nice job, what size popper head is that?
Medium

First Thank you for sharing your knowledge and great videos,do you use an air brush to paint them.
I use the Copic air brush system and markers
Thank you.
Is that a medium head?
Where did you get that airbrush from im very interested in it
It’s from Copic markers. Some fly shops will have them or you can search online. I hook mine to a compressor so I have the adapter can rather than use the disposal ones
Great video thanks! What air compressor do you recommend? I use a Copic air brush system and burn through the air cans.
I bought the adapter on Amazon for the Copic system and a compressor from hobby lobby.

How are you coloring this? I can't figure out if you are using a marker or some kind of spray.
It’s the Copic air brush system. It’s markers hooked to a adapter sprayer and then applied with air from a compressor.
What kind of marker sprayer are you using thanks!
Copic markers
Is that a uv resin? And would solarez work for it?
Make sure it’s a flexible resin. Foam squishes
Are you using the Raid Zap Flex THICK or THIN?
This is just flex regular. Didn’t even know there was a thick til your comment
@@Svenddiesel When I went to buy it, I found both kinds.
Great video Im giving this a shot. What paint gun do you recommend ?
Copic Abs 2 Starter set. They have it on amazon. This is what he uses in the video. I use it too!

@@Svenddiesel If you buy Ohulu markers they are a perfect fit and much cheaper than Copic.
@@David-uj2ms do they work in the Copic system
Is the Raid zap you are using regular medium or thin
It’s flex regular. Just learned they have a thick lol
