The word "liberal" is overused by Republicans. We are so concerned with whether we like the person talking that we get distracted from the facts. The fact that the most serious promise Romney has made is to balance the budget by 2020 and he has NO BUDGET should alarm people . . . In Chris Christie's speech, he refers to "tough choices", but he doesn't define any of them . . . The same thing happened with Obama four years ago. As many commenters have pointed out, this is concerning.

  • @tryingtosavemymom

That's all Christie is worried about, Christie. He doesn't care of Romney wins or not. He told Romney right to his face that he can't deliver the state of NJ. He just didn't tell Romney why. Because people in NJ know what they're up to because they've seen what he's done to our state.

As far as having him as governor of your state, come and get him. We will pray for you if you do. An educated person would not use the term "teabagger" or many other things in your post. Maybe a few people who are Republicans fall for the Government hand-outs, before they grow up and repent, but as a rule, Republicans/Conservatives have self-respect and don't want to depend on their fellow citizens to support them. The Government does not have money. I did not go to college because my family was poor. Student loans were not available at the time. That does not make you better than me.

They absolutely shouldn't be hated for their money, but it is a fact that a lot of money CAN breed ignorance and arrogance. Does it apply to everybody? Absolutely not. However, Romney has proven time and time again that he falls into this category. He can't relate to the average American. It's not his fault; he grew up in a different world, and a different lifestyle. I believe he's sincere when he talks about hard work, but he can't fully appreciate building yourself up from nothing.

You want to argue semantics, go ahead. Christie understands that what made Rome, Greece, and Great Britain sprawl culturally and ideologically through the world was consistent commitment to expansion. We just don't have the cagey attitude of those smaller European communal utopias. Neither does Russia, that's why they just put Putin back in power. We need to answer for that on the global frontier.

I think everyone knows that while Romney's abortion flip-flops were exaggerated, he wasn't exactly a radical "NO ABORTION AT ALL" person, and he was fairly moderate on gay rights as well. He also believed in evolution and global warming. Meanwhile, Obama's stunning campaign consisted of Big Bird, binders full of women, and the threat that "they're gonna put y'all back in chains." If that is moderate, I shudder to think of what "radical" is.

The CEO's job is harder so they're paid more, corporations pay their employees, you're stupid if you think otherwise, we have close to the top corporate tax rate in the world, problem is no one pays it - 12% average corporate tax paid on income in 2010. Average. That's the problem. The nominal rate is 35%, but the tax lawyers make it so they pay 12%. Ryan wants to end the loopholes and drop the nominal rate to 25%, making it the real rate of pay. Less taxes owed, the more people actually pay.

This is why every military officer spends their initial training as enlisted; to at least get a glimpse of what their junior soldiers and sailors go through. I'm not saying you have to be on the same level as them constantly; but you have to have at least SOME experience in that situation in order to fully appreciate it.

Gov. Christie born with as a politician. He has his own style of the speech. It filled with the energy and the firmness for what he wants to say. Many people thought he was over weight, but I believe it has nothing to do with what he is doing and what he wants to achieve. Because the weight has nothing to do with the brains and beliefs. Anything the light weight people can achieve, the heavier one can achieve too. The most important thing is where do you want to go. As long as go with our country's foundation of the Capitalism system of the natures of the freedoms and entrepreneurship and constitutions, he or she is a good Governor. However, I believe he said we must work together to get things done between the two Parties. I believe this is also important for our country's goodness and benefits. Because it doesn't matter which Party you are in, the principals of America's patriotism and principles of the America's foundation of the liberty and entrepreneurship systems and constitutions will be always the most important for our nature of the America's symptoms. As long as we strictly protect our symptoms, with the solid patriosm, as long as buth Party strictly follow our country's foundation and symptoms, working together and do things by our own constitutions and America's interest only, our country will be shined on hill. If we ignore those principals, then we will be in the wrong direction.

Never heard someone talk about how great they think they are for so loooong. What a BLOWHARD. He doesn't even mention "Romney" until the 17:12 mark. He's just trying to position himself to be ready for 2016 if Romney loses.

@14:10 I am left-leaning centrist and I don't believe a good majority of what he's spouting here as democratic beliefs. Partisan politics needs to stop and we need to band together and get our infrastructure and economy squared away. We need a third party based around action instead of rhetoric.

The guy gave a great speech. Idk what him being a big guy has ANYTHING to do with his politics and policies, but just shows your ignorance and shallow thinking ways.On a second note, I'm trying to figure out why it took 17 minutes for him to even mention Romney's name. I'm not voting for a Jackass or an Elephant, but he taled about Romney for about 5 total minutes out of a 25 minute speech. Thats sad.He preaches about truth and honor and respect, yet look what the GOP did to Ron Paul.. Hypocrite

I'll take your word for it; I can honestly say I haven't researched it enough.

Get out of your mom's basement and open your eyes...your words describe your age...

Also remember...this man can You tube too!! Your personal physical comments are being seen! Do you not have any self respect people? Do you care that words cut deeper than a knife? If you want to criticize this man's politics, go ahead he expects you to. But to criticize his physical body?? It is yet another form of discrimination! So morally wrong!

Very good question. I would encourage you to visit Romney's website. He actually has a 160 page eBook that explains his plans, with at least 100 citations. The plans are also broken up into more easily digestible chunks. Unfortunately, most politicians (from both sides) try to grab everyone's attention in a 10sec. sound bite rather than actually explain the issues. Hopefully the debate will allow them to explain more.
