"With the A9 I wanted to make a timeless classic something which is beautiful from all angles in all times. A9 was inspired by sound and by music. The shape is a circle and the reason why I choose a circle is because the sound travels in circles. The A9 is made out of very few elements which are used as much as possible and crafted in the best materials; high quality wood high quality plastics high quality aluminium and a very good fabric."

Can I pair two of these in stereo as I do with my two small BEOLIT 17-s?

A9 doesn't support Bluetooth stereo pairing, however, you can have the same source playback on two A9 speakers by using Airplay, Chromecast or Beolink in a Multiroom setup (the latter is not available on A9 1st generation).

I'm not sure I get it right. Does that mean I cannot use two A9-s for stereo? In this case what B&O model does have that stereo mode?

Stereo pairing gives you the option to connect two Bluetooth speakers. The following models support this feature: Beoplay A1, A2 Active, P6, Beolit 15 and Beolit 17. Please note that you can only stereo pair two identical models e.g. two A1 speakers.
A9 is a Multiroom speaker that can be connected together using Beolink Multiroom, Airplay 2 or Chromecast rather than through stereo pairing.
