Mahomes Super Bowl stats are horrendous. In five Super Bowls Mahomes has thrown 9 tds and 7 interceptions. Should he really be put ahead of Montana?

@@jbbrolic GOAT conversation is about much more than just how many Super Bowls you've won. Bradshaw has 4 rings and is rarely thought of as near the top of the list of greats, whereas Dan Marino has zero rings, and everyone knows he's a Top 5 all-time QB. It's about stats, clutch, intangibles as a teammate, and leadership along with wins. Even if Mahomes won this game, he wouldn't be in the conversation. But he didn't so we move on.
Mahomes will not have the same longevity as Brady because he still relies too much on his legs to make plays. But as he gets older, he will be less quick and slower so he wouldn't be able to get away from defenders to get first downs like he did.

It's done. Brady went to 10 super bowls. There's a scenario where he could be 10-0 in super bowls. Sure he could have lost some of those wins too but he could have won all the losses, mahomes couldn't have won that game last night, or the one versus Brady and Tampa Bay. There's no scenario where mahomes is 5-0. Let's stop.
Also the loss to Peyton in those two AfC championships in 06 and 15. Pats prolly would have wooped Bears or Panthers again.

The GOAT conversation is about the total body of a player's career, not simply wins or losses. Tom Brady is the GOAT not just because he has the most wins, but because of other accomplishments as well. The 4th quarter comebacks, the biggest SB comeback, elevating his teammates level of play, and the fact that he holds many of the most prominent passing records. In other words, TB12 has every element that one would demand from a GOAT. Mahomes winning 3 straight titles wouldn't put him in the conversation when all is considered. And now that he hasn't, the subject is officially closed.

To play so badly in a championship proves Mahomes is overrated, and is more interested in shooting commercials for state farm than preparing to play mistake free football. Brady was the total package Mahomes isn't even close.

I'd say on hold. We don't know how the rest of his career is going to play out. There's still plenty of time to win 5 more Super Bowls, but whether or not that happens is another story. There will only be one Tom Brady just as there will only be one Patrick Mahomes. Regardless, when it's all said and done, Patrick Mahomes will be remembered as one of the greatest to ever do it. Last night just wasn't his game.

Mahomes will hit a Superbowl drought at some point. He doesn't take care of his body like Brady did, so he won't play at an elite level as long as Brady did. So, time is not on his side.

If you're Patrick Mahomes, don't set unrealistic expectations for yourself. There was only one Tom Brady; there will only be one Tom Brady. They may be extraordinary people who do extraordinary things, but at the end of the day, they are no different from you and I: human.

I'm a Jets fan, so no fan of Brady. But there is no debate, he's the GOAT. To do what he did in New England and then go to the Bucs and win a SB there too is amazing. Not a fan of Mahomes either, but he is also only 29. Give it another decade before you start comparing him to Brady.

Mahomes has more ints in 5 Superbowl appearance than Brady has in 10 appearances . And anytime Mahomes goes against a good to great defense he loses by 20+ in the Superbowl while Brady beat the legion of boom that had embarrassed Payton and a record setting offense the year before. Plus things like Brady elevated players around him, 28-3 comeback had no gronk Brady was throwing to 3 short white guys . Not to mention prime ravens defense, prime Steelers defense, prime Texans defense and so on. Mahomes is competing against a bunch of Phillip rivers, good regular seasons but rarely make it past the second round.

As a Pats fan, looking back I'm kinda happy now that Tom left us to join the NFC and go on to beat Mahomes in the Superbowl. Just imagine if he stayed a Patriot, we'd never have that to debate against the Chiefs Dynasty. So we sleep very well for the next 10+ yrs. I always say to myself I think Tom foreseen how great Mahomes would be and it played a part in him wanting to change conferences and play and beat Mahomes in the SB to hold that against him before he retired.
The Chiefs played mid-defense in the AFC and played a formidable defense in the Super Bowl with a number 1 defense he looked average. LOL BRADY played the freaking the Legion of Boom in the Super Bowl and looked better then Mahomes looked yesterday.😂😂😂😂
Horrible "Crumble" take by the guy in the black Nike hat. Mahomes has played 6 bad quarters in 21 playoff games. If you're gonna talk on a radio show or television show you have got to have some perspective. He was bad last night and in the second half of the 2021 AFC Championship. To say there's potential to crumble at any moment is insane. He's the least or at worst second least likely candidate at QB to crumble in the history of the game. There's 7 years of playoff games to back that up.

The superbowl was proof that the refs have been helping him for years now. The one time the refs dont call every ticky tack plays for KC they get blown out.
The cheifs were fraudulent during the season. Last night's game proved that. They rely way too much on Patrick instead of having a legitimate running game. That is the risk in mobile qb rather than a pocket qb who can be mobile.
