oh belive me , the moment you saw those lvls you get vietnam memories , most of the lvls on the Elite four if my memory isnt that wrong from the OG Silver/Gold/Crystal were around 67+ , so seeing lvl 87+ was already though already , specially if you saw Red , it was like fighting yourself from back in the day , THATs why Red is beloved in the series..he is The Very Best thanks to you.
The reason why Red doesn't talk is because he has little to say, and what he has to say usually doesn't need saying. Red's just not impressed with the world, and feels that his words are best reserved for those who could free him from being the Champion. (My theory)
I just thought Red didn't speak because he always had a weak voice, so he avoids speaking unless he feels the need to. Fully capable of speech, but when one has trouble with it they tend to avoid it.
I adore this cover. It turns Gold into a wide-eyed kid who expects to win and knows why he’s won so far. In this, Red is someone who’s seen that no matter what, somebody is better, there’s more to see, there’s another step, another challenge. Red tests Gold’s *real* power not in battle, but in perseverance and heart. Red might haven’t been able to go to the next step, but Gold might.
Red's entire personality fits how it feels sometimes to get into late game of pokemon. Your team is high level, you sweep most battles without too much hassle. You forget the feeling of clutching a fight just barely in late game when you have a decent set of moves on most of your mons, allowing you to deal with any type matchups (usually). Red has reached the end, when you beat him, he realizes he's not the best, which exhilarates him, he realizes there are others out there who can put him to the test rather than having him sweep. That's my take on it at least, Red's my favorite simply because of his teams, his challenge, his theme. All of it

Ah, memories. I remember fighting Red back in Gold and Crystal... He beat me so many times. So I went around Johto and Kanto battling everyone and everything I could just to get my team's levels high enough to achieve victory. Took me several months for each game to do it. Also traded several of my Pokemon from my old Pokemon Red cartridge and shuffled my teams around until I had one that worked. Then stocked up on as many healing items as I could carry. It was still an uphill struggle to win. I felt so accomplished. Moreso than I had when beating Pokemon Red for the first time. ...I've not felt the same in any Pokemon game since...
I've always loved the Pokemon protagonists, it must've been their designs or something, but since you had Gold/Ethan sing in this, it made the fact Red was singing, better, by so much.
This song is so fucking amazing. I never thought anything would make Vs Red better, but somehow I forgot Steel makes everything better. So when's the hour-long version?
Another masterpiece, one whose execution was almost flawless. The dynamic between Red and Gold/Ethan was shown quite well and this song, and it is one my favorite works. Steel's voice for Red is amazing, and fits very well (Red is sans confirmed). Shoutout to my girl quagsire, the hero we need but don't deserve.
I can always expect good content from this channel. But holy crap, this blew me out of the water Never hearing Candourlight before, I must say that his vocals were amazing! And Steel as Red was an unexpected and sweet surprise. And those harmonies were something else. To add on to all that, Archer art is definitely really good. And of course, Alex did a great job writing the lyrics, and Marc Gardner did great with mixing. Amazing job to everyone, and hopefully this comment wasn't terribly long

Wow this was amazing and I love you incorparating vs Red with lyrics into a duet of this. I like how Red keeps making cameos in stuff, but after this epic battle. It's like we never see Gold again. Can he please have a special cameo like Red continually keeps getting. I know he is the original, but still, it makes the torch passed down feel less true if we never see his journey continues in any meaningful way.
I like this because it shows two sides of the same coin, the defeated Red, who now looks back on his journey, now seeing that he's done everything that there is to (a lot of past tense words, "I remember when that was my cause, seen it all"), and Gold, who is the younger version of Red, but it kind of is sad knowing that Gold, after dethroning Red, meets the same fate. Red, however, seems to be inspired again, for example, Red's appearance in the PWT as a champion, while Gold is just... not there. It's my canon that Gold wins, forcing Red to look for more adventures, while Gold travels the rest of the regions, until seeing what Red is talking about, there's nothing more to do, and as the player puts down the console and leaves the game, Gold takes his place on Mt. Silver, just as Red did two years earlier, while Red goes to Unova in search of more challenges
@Amazing Spiderman Fan 2002 its a location in B2W2 UNOVA, its in south of driftveil city. if you beat all gym leaders challanges, you unlock the champion challange. and in that challange, Red is one of the trainers you can battle
I would say this song is a Silver lining, but the whole thing is a Mountain of awesome. Candourlight and Steel were amazing, ArcherOwl’s art was great, the lyrics were amazing, Mark did a really good job mixing the duet parts, and good acting on the part of the Pokémon.

All of this, wow, this is AMAZING!!!! Both of these voices did great... better than great, marvellously!!! Gold's voice was very strong and clearly enunciated, and Red's was... wow, it was great, it fits him so well!!! And the visuals were perfect too, perfectly synced with the music, just wow!!!
Think about how Red’s gotta be feeling here. He went on a whole journey across his whole region, caught every Pokémon, beaten the Elite Four and became the Pokémon Champion. He finally reached the top of his “mountain.” Only to discover that there’s so much more in store for him. He reached such a high status in his region, but ONLY in his region. He has to start from square 1 all over again, and this time, there’s competition for that title that he owned back in Kanto.
Well, this was an unexpected surprise! I didn't think your version of "Vs. Trainer Red" could get any better, but you guys did it. I know this is the end of the Pokemon Musical Bytes series for now, but hopefully we can hear some more awesome lyrical adaptations for Pokemon songs from you guys somewhere down the line.

Ah, memories. I remember fighting Red back in Gold and Crystal... He beat me so many times. So I went around Johto and Kanto battling everyone and everything I could just to get my team's levels high enough to achieve victory. Took me several months for each game to do it. Also traded several of my Pokemon from my old Pokemon Red cartridge and shuffled my teams around until I had one that worked. Then stocked up on as many healing items as I could carry. It was still an uphill struggle to win. I felt so accomplished. Moreso than I had when beating Pokemon Red for the first time. ...I've not felt the same in any Pokemon game since...

I've always loved the Pokemon protagonists, it must've been their designs or something, but since you had Gold/Ethan sing in this, it made the fact Red was singing, better, by so much.

Another masterpiece, one whose execution was almost flawless. The dynamic between Red and Gold/Ethan was shown quite well and this song, and it is one my favorite works. Steel's voice for Red is amazing, and fits very well (Red is sans confirmed). Shoutout to my girl quagsire, the hero we need but don't deserve.

Never hearing Candourlight before, I must say that his vocals were amazing! And Steel as Red was an unexpected and sweet surprise. And those harmonies were something else. To add on to all that, Archer art is definitely really good. And of course, Alex did a great job writing the lyrics, and Marc Gardner did great with mixing. I like how Red keeps making cameos in stuff, but after this epic battle. It's like we never see Gold again. Can he please have a special cameo like Red continually keeps getting. I know he is the original, but still, it makes the torch passed down feel less true if we never see his journey continues in any meaningful way.
I like this because it shows two sides of the same coin, the defeated Red, who now looks back on his journey, now seeing that he's done everything that there is to (a lot of past tense words, "I remember when that was my cause, seen it all"), and Gold, who is the younger version of Red, but it kind of is sad knowing that Gold, after dethroning Red, meets the same fate. Red, however, seems to be inspired again, for example, Red's appearance in the PWT as a champion, while Gold is just... not there. It's my canon that Gold wins, forcing Red to look for more adventures, while Gold travels the rest of the regions, until seeing what Red is talking about, there's nothing more to do, and as the player puts down the console and leaves the game, Gold takes his place on Mt. Silver, just as Red did two years earlier, while Red goes to Unova in search of more challenges

Only to discover that there’s so much more in store for him. He reached such a high status in his region, but ONLY in his region. He has to start from square 1 all over again, and this time, there’s competition for that title that he owned back in Kanto.
