6 is tied with 7 as my third favorite episode. This show really puts the Empire cunning on display, it's a real scariness as awhole, opposed to just characters like Vader being scary. Cinta is a badass. This is Vel's first command, her nervousness and uncertainty makes sense. The shot of the pilot getting into the Tie Fight...so good. This firefight is so well done. People react the way you expect them to, shots go where they should, you can see what's going on clearly, and (most importantly) the shots feel like they have weight. The other Star Wars series have so many battles that fail at most or all of those points. I love how you see all differnt kinds of people that the Rebellion is made of. Vel - the person trying to find themselves, Cinta - the die hard, Skeen and Cass - opportunists, Taramyn and Gorn - people that became disillusioned, and Nemick - the true idealistic believer Need the manifesto as an audiobook. I like to think that if Skeen hasn't tried to betray them, then he would have realized he can rely on others other than himself and would have atleast stayed with them for a little.
You make a good point about all of the different types of people that constitute a rebellion, I feel that goes to show how intentional they were when creating this show!
I get it now. The Imperial comms officer was using antiquated headphones, and using old equipment to tune into the rebel frequency .... A "modern" imperial comms officer would be all digital and not able to hear "outdated" analogue battle communications at all - which was what Nemik was counting on
Yessss....this is the episode is when I knew for sure, that this show had all the right stuff. Stunning! The creators of the show originally wanted lots of extra Aldhani people but covid restricted their numbers....so they wrote in the way the Empire has been oppressing them. So smart. Skeevy Skeen failed to even cover Teramyn. Shame, shame. RIP rebel heroes and our bestest idealistic nerd boy, Nemik 💐 💖

Definitely the most espionage centred episode so far, but that’s to be expected from the guy who did the Bourne films 😄

That's one of the qualities Luthen saw in Cassian...that when he decides to take action, he doesn't hesitate.
