Went to watch Heaven 17 live last week. I was stunned to find the ages of Glenn and Martyn, then out of curiosity I Googled Phil's age (seen them many times over the years). He's 66 years of age and still has 'it'! Fabulous stuff!
The future isn't what it used to be unfortunately. Bow Down to you Philip and The Human League + I LOVE how some of the audience are singing Fade To Grey to Being Boiled, stunning
Saw them live on this tour. What the video doesn't convey is the depth of the bass in this track. You could feel the entire venue shake. An absolute blinder of an opening to a gig and completely spine tingling after all these years.
You must promise yourself! What if they stop performing? Look on the internet where they will be performing, and have your next holiday, in whatever country it is. You will remember it for always!
Gary Thompson Yea Ultravox were head of the curve those first 3 albums with Foxx were so influential to many what came later ,Gary Numan was their biggest fan...
You shouuld have heard HL Mk1 - Hammersmish Palais 1980 - then HL MK2 - later same year - Hammersmith Odeon !!! Girls had just Joined , they sounded Fingernails on a Blackboard - dancing not much better either LOL (Phil has actually improved in both Voice and Confidence) - but had unique Live voice 40 years Ago !!!
Crystal clear voice after all these years!!! Goosebumps….🙌
So good, just awesome

This destroyed everthing, just fantastic. 💪❤️
Their use of all of today’s machines makes the songs sound so fresh and new at the live shows 🙌🏻😎
Have you seen them live in recent years? This song is so damn loud and bassy, it goes right through you... Truly an awesome experience

Yes, the true pioneers in electronic music.
NOT Gary Newman as others might have you believe.
This song is 1978... they're Pioneers's teachers
The sound quality on this video is very good, great listening thanks.
Simon Smithers Thanks, I try my best but Sony must take most of the credit!!

I LOVE it when they use the changing face background for “The Sound of the Crowd!” Saw it in 2008 and laughed a lot!! Screamed the lyrics too 🎵😁

Where's the band? Hidden behind the screens? Are they just a trio singing to backing tracks now?
On that tour, the first few songs had the band hidden behind screens, which lifted to reveal the band elevated later.
what instruments are they using?
Probably running Sampled Sounds on a Synclavier or Similar Modern Equivalent - it can play up to 64 tracks in Parallel
Hl tend to use all their old equipment maybe jl4
love the back grounds.
