Hi mate, great video. I accidentally applied my nameset wrong and left the template on the shirt. The bit that I should have peeled off is now stuck hard on the shirt. Would you have any suggestions on how to get it off? Nothing seems to work. Thanks
I mean maybe some hot water could loosen the template for it to come off perhaps?? I’ve never had that before so please don’t take my word for it but I hope you find a way bud!
Hey! Great video! I’m just wondering, if you do apply a name and number set to a Jersey and then you wash it a couple of times, will the print of the name and number set still be in good condition? Thanks!
Hi there! So typically for my football tips I tend to wash them on a cold setting, this avoids any of the sponsors, namesets ect from getting ruined, and so far all my tops have been fine so that would be my advice, and thanks for the kind words!
Hi mate, should I avoid using the iron on the other letters in the name set as I have a shirt where only one of the middle letters needs replacing and I don’t want to ruin the good letters.
@@whatewensdoin5070 how would you also recommend I remove the letter as I previously said I don’t want to damage the others. Wouldn’t the boiling water/ hair dryer just melt the other letters?
I see your problem, I’d maybe even get some non damage tape and even cover up the good letters with something then tape it up perhaps? Just to give you that extra protection
Hi mate, from how you’ve described it I don’t see why not BUT I’ve never tried it so don’t quote me on that but again I don’t see why not, hope that’s helped in someway 👍🏻
A lot of companies selling name and number plates mention that a household iron WONT work, and that I'd need a heat press. So, would this method work anyway?
Hey there! Well I’ve done multiple videos on namesets with a household iron and works perfectly fine, ofcourse a heat press is more simpler and easier to use but on a budget the iron is your best friend in my opinion, but thanks for the question buddy! 👍🏻
Hi mate ive a question bought a couple shirts from ebay and qagsed them and the nameset came off 😓 If I'm putting the same name on it can I just out it over the old one (whats left of it anyway) or should I try remove the old name set completely
Hey mate, I think it should be okay like if there still remnants of the glue then that will be cool and you can almost use the old nameset almost like a “template” for the new one, if there’s still the old nameset like where you can see the colour of the letters/number personally I’d at least try get most of it off first but if you can’t for whatever reason either way should be fine just to pop your new nameset on top, Hope this helps mate and good luck 👍🏻
@@whatewensdoin5070 so the nameset is still very visible only certain letters and areas of the number came off. I'll try remove as much as I can before putting a new one on. Is this a common thing with old name sets or do you think it was the way they were washed.
ruclips.net/video/VQ6nwV7mO8Q/видео.html I’ve left a link from a video I did a while back on how to get a name set off mate so instead of washing it try this first and see how you get on mate 👍🏻
Hey James, So I just bought an Premier League name set template from ebay and they do the trick but I only bought it because the letters for the name set were singular which would make it harder to curve equally, but either way a ruler would do the trick if it’s straight line name and a printing ruler will work too just obviously look over it before actually ironing it, above anything that’s the most important part is “take ALLLLL the time you need” 😂 hope that helps mate and good luck!
Hi mate, thanks for this video. I've been wondering about this! A couple of questions, I don't think you mentioned roughly how long you need to iron each number/letter for & then how long you need to leave them for before peeling? I think the video is sped up while you're doing it so it's hard to tell! Cheers.
Hi Tom! Thanks for getting in touch! Yeah this video was tagged by RUclips for copyright for the backing song because I did say all this but it must have been cut out, so basically like you see on the video go over the letters quite a few times but just keep going over it every few seconds don’t do one consistent stroke. As long as you have the baking paper you can do it for as long as you’ll think you need, personally I do every letter a few times over. I leave it for about 60/90seconds, and if the nameset doesn’t stick at first just repeat the process mate, I have another video on here recently for the Eden Hazard shirt and gives you a better visual of what to do, Hope this helps mate and good luck!
I usually got with medium to high but more to the medium as it may take slightly longer to do but avoids damage to the name set or shirt, hope this helps!
Thank you so much! Extremely helpful. I advise everybody to use parchment paper as it worked wonders for me
Anytime mate 👍🏻
Cheers for the video mate! Had a Bergkamp 10 to iron too and it worked really well!
Very welcome mate, yeah it’s quite an iconic player and nameset and I’m saying this as a chelsea fan 😂 but need to respect where it’s due!
Is it still on?
@@joshuawalker7569 yep all good. Washed it once and worn about two/three times so far
Super movie ! thank you ! I wonder where you got this plastic measure - thanks to which you know what distances to keep. can i buy it somewhere?

Yeah I would say just use the iron in the letters that needs replacing, no point in spending more tedious time replacing them all bud 👍🏻

Do you know if these namesets and numbers are official and original like the ones from 2007?
If so, where can I find a trustworthy seller?
Hi mate where do you get the font
Hi Dhruv, usually from eBay as it’s good quality and prices :)
How hot do you need to have the iron

Hi,what kind of paper did you use ?
Hey mate, just normal baking paper, be picked up at cheaply at any pound shop mate 👍🏻
What Tempreture should the Iron Have?

Whats the name of the ruler that you use?
Just a standard builders ruler
How curve of name ?
So you can get a name template from eBay if you want to be more precise when curving the name 👍🏻

No iron reaches the recommended sport ID temperature. Home jobs with an iron are botched.
Next time wait until it's cold enough to peel off with ease.
If you peel it warm it will be difficult.
