Many years ago at Henfling's, I met James McM, talked for a bit. I turned away for another glass - and he also turned left to go for some food.
My memory in turning back, seeing him walk away, thinking, 'There goes the Bob Dylan of the Nineties'.
    Still holds.

A Song as immortal and as profoundly alive as " Lonesome Dove " ... I Love His Daddys' writing ; but His Son has The Power to say in a single sentence , what The Old Man has said in His entire bibliography . American Poetry at its Best .

This is great, miss the live version where James says he used to think he was an artist...but found out he was a Beer Salesman....it just dissappeared off of you tube.

I would have preferred we'd preserved
    A 1/96th scale Buffalo herd,
So that in my tiny apartment I could have such a vast mass,
As a milling tufted carpet amongst my wild-west decore.
And if I could wish more, I would,
For a 1/96th scale Indian, on a 1/96th scale horse.
