Something I’ve been using as a line marker on my tipups, is slip bobber stoppers. Super small and stream line, and the bright yellow or pink stoppers are very visible. Great video tho. I will be using my drill to spoil up a new set of tipups I just got for the season.

good tip using the drill to help spool line...I use BB size split shot sinkers to mark my depth and I have heard others using slip bobber stops as well

I do like the Dacron type of line actually made for tip-ups. Stay away from anything low diameter. That thin stuff will cut your hands when fighting fish. Basically I like 30# Dacron tip-up line.
