This is how i resolved this problem: 1. i uninstalled Origin 2. i cleaned up the pc with glary utilities (the free version) 3. i reinstalled Origin disabling the "run at windows startup" option 4. i right clicked Origin and runned it as Administrator And it just works fine for me now

I am not sure, the fix i provided is for when it does not let you sign into origin. All i can say about your problem is check that origin is not in offline mode.. Other than that i am not sure.

What this "fix" does is to block some adobe activation servers and 2 servers of akamai technologies. Akamai is known for online content distribution, to simply block 2 servers of them is not really a fix for origin login problems. This is the reason why it won't work for everyone, because it depends where you are, where your origin client tries to connect to and if he fails to do so duo to connection error somewhere between you and the server. For those who want to try if those 2 akamai servers are the problem just add the corresponding 2 lines to the hosts file: 127.0.0.1 125.252.224.90 127.0.0.1 125.252.224.91 Don't just download a hosts file of someone and use it on your pc if you don't know what this file does, it redirects every package sent to the adress at the end of the line to the adress at the front which in this case is localhost (127.0.0.1) your own pc. Blocking more servers than needed is a bad idea. (The hosts file may be write protected you can disable this by right clicking it -> properties and removing the ticked read only attribute)

*It worked for me to finally download the update THANKS A LOT!!* (I tried to download the latest update from the website and it stuck while installing and i tried more than once.. So I downloaded an older version and with this host file I finally updated it)

Something amazing just happened! I logged into origin from another computer via the same network and it worked but than i logged into my gaming PC and this time it worked :D

(Got 4 extra people to review it and watch me copy down my name and password off the site where it lets me login, into the program and it didn't fucking work. I sure do wonder why EA was chosen for americas worst company.)
Agreed - I'm sure that my login credentials are correct and yet origin gives me the face of doubt and tells me they are wrong. It's a true shame honestly that I can't play things that I have payed for.
I don't like this... I legally bought games from them, and it started blocking me out of the origin, because one website told me I'm using proxy or VPN, EA has done great job on losing customer....

i've tried this but doesn't work for me, one thing to note that was different, in my host, it contained most of the stuff towards the bottom, but no long list in the orginal host file containing ea or origin things in the file

When I open that folder hosts it doesn't say origin or ea it just says sample hosts and other stuff. Doesn't look like yours did.

It doesn't have to say anything about EA just back up your old one and swap them out to see if it works.
