This is my favorite PS2 game of all time and the final mission is crazy. There is a 2nd game I may play it in the future but the next game I will be going will be Hitman Blood Money.
I've pretty much never played this mission normally. I don't use cheat codes (well, maybe occasionally for kicks, having Indiana Jones kick Song in the balls is kind of amusing), but I abuse the heck out of utilizing the helicopters available in the game. I'll start by ordering in the street racer car, wait for the disguise, and drive to the jail. From there, I'll fight my way into that first bend where all the helicopter launch pads are, I steal one of those and quickly fly it to the Fortress's entrance, land, take out the SAMs, hit the bunker, then use the helicopter to quickly fly to the hangar where the computer station is. Easily cuts out probably ten minutes.
Recently beat this game for the first time without cheats. I still bypassed some crap and shenanigans’d my way to victory. Snagged one of the choppers off the pad and flew up the cliff into the nuke hanger. Things went crazy from there but i spaghettid my way out of it and got Song alive. Watching you do this as intended makes me smile because it shows how open ended this game is .
hah you did it how you're supposed to do it. I hijacked one of the mi-35s and flew high enough in the air to get the 'disguised as north korean' thing. Then went down and destroyed 1 sam at a time before retreating back to the clouds to get my disguise back.
I'm on this final section, now, 2020 (playing retro games during Covid). I just can't do it, I can get to the jail, but after that, I get totally overwhelmed each time, its ridiculously hard. And it takes like half an hour just to get to the prison. It's exhausting, stressful, too much, all in one section. It desperately needs a save point when you reach the prison. Sadistic bastard developers
Use the sports car to dodge the tanks on the way to the prison. Then steal a tank. When you start going up the hill, spam scud and anti tank missiles to destroy the enemy above. That's the only way I beat it
I Completely agree with the save point. It desperately needs one because i got him Song handcuffed ready for extraction and a guy with a launcher took me out.... Took me about an hour or so to get to that point!
Remember that u can use repair and ammo kits for the garrett tank. You can order some or find them near the bunkers at the first little gate before the hill
Would be interesting to see a play through of the 2nd mercenaries and hear your opinion of it. Also, you should do a video of you just exploring the maps of the first one. Some of the best moments in the game are just things you come across when you aren’t doing missions.
I used to love this game when I had it. I wish they added some system though where if the south Koreans and China for example hired you to fight for them then the opposing faction can double the amount to fight for them instead
The shortcut to pass this mission is to get helicopter from the base and directly landed over nuclear disable place,dont need to pass through broken bridge
There's not enough steel refinerys in the usa and they shut down 10 more crude oil refineries in Texas after the xl pipeline was blocked we sold off over 30% of our US factorys
This was tough, I failed to disarm the bomb as I ran out of C4 to destroy the fences to get through. I thought the mission was going to fail but then it just said verify the ace of spades. I just killed him, really didn't want to fail again. This level needs checkpoints!

There's a 500 million us housing shortage and they're built so cheap every 50 years the next generation has to rebuild the whole neighborhood its not sustainable
If you cant destroy the fence try destroying the wall on the left. However never go through the final gate directly. The grenade launcher will destroy you.
B O T if u look at his videos he has recent videos with a few thousand views but whenever he posts gta V vids they get like 50k in a day. I also miss his gta V videos but as he said he wanted to grow his channel with other games

AFTER THE CUT SCENE GET A JEEP AND MAKE ANOTHER HIGH SPEED RUN THRU ALL THE CHECK POINTS AND (KEY) GET TO THE HELICOPTER SITTING ON THE 2ND PAD ( OR YOU CAN TAKE THE SLOW WAY AND CLEAR EVERYTHING WITH THE TANK AND GET THE CHOPPER.) ONCE IN THE CHOPPER - WITH NO HESITATION - PULL STRAIGHT UP HARD AND AFTER A SECOND PULL BACKWARDS WHILE GOING UP TO THE FORTRESS. YOU WILL BE UNDER AA FIRE FROM LAUNCHERS IN & AROUND THE FORT. THAT SAID DONT GO TO HIGH AND LAND INSIDE THE WALLS. IF YOU CAN PULL THIS OFF THE 1ST TIME WITHOUT GETTING BLASTED BY AA MISSILES THEN YOU GOT SKILLS. ONCE INSIDE ITS ALL A CAKE WALK GOING TO THE BACK HANGAR AND DISABLE THE COMPUTER & THEN USING THE C4 ON THE 3 BARRIER WALLS TO MAKE DOORS VICE USING THE GATES AND GETTING INTO A BOGGED DOWN FIREFIGHT. They dont import enough commercial construction machinery and the building materials used in cities has a count down timer cement lasts 50 years

Imo, the sequel compared to this was such a let down. That being said, I would still love to see you play though the sequel!

If you cant destroy the fence try destroying the wall on the left. However never go through the final gate directly. The grenade launcher will destroy you.
