On the Corsa D the brackets have a bottom plate that makes them in essence a sealed unit. Had to grind the bottom off to replace them after loosening the droplinks off and pulling the bar off to the side.
hello mate thanks for the video you just confirmed my doubts with the videos that people have said to use grease i was tempted but it did not seem right so i never done it thank god but i do have a issue i undone the passenger side bush just to see how easy it would come undone then the next day i went out to do it but started on the driver side being as is the more trouble with less room to get the harder side out the way first forgetting that the other side was loose and it fell down i possitioned the link rod next to the hole in strut with them hanging while it was on axle stands then tightend it up dont know if it is 3 inches obove the rack but i will pull off the link rods and check if its not should i just loosen bush brackets lift it to exactly 3 inches with the link rods off then tighten the bushes back up and that would be ok thanks for your time dennis
Not to worry, once you've been over a few bumps the bushes will reposition themselves. Setting at 3 inches is to tighten at near normal ride position, but it's not critical.
Hi! Good video, thanx for it! I will do it on my corsa, but, I just have a doub, what is the torque for the bolts??? Thanx in advance for your comments!
Its 20Nm or 15lbf ft. If you are reaching over the back of the engine and up from underneath you won't be able to get a torque wrench on these bolts, instead you'll have to judge it. Use a good quality long reach ring spanner without a tilted head (ie flat along it's length)
It's possible. But probably more likely to be a worn ball joint or broken spring. So make sure to closely inspect moving parts the rest of the front suspension.
It's a Corsa C. Yes this can be done with the subframe in situ. a long reach flat spanner is required. Bottom bolts are reached from underneath the car and top bolts by reaching down at back of the engine bay.
Really helpful, thanks a lot !!! Answered lots of questions !! Many thanks, Lee

Great!
Thanx so much for your comments...
Hi , can you confirm the long spanner size?
My spanner is marked E11 one end and E12 the other. I can't remember which of these two sizes the bolts are.
Great video! So i guess if they are real worned out it can also make a clunking noise?

@@fixdatcar7281 Thanks! Springs ok ball joint is on my list to check.
Is that corsa d or corsa c my friend? And can i do this without take it down

@@fixdatcar7281 thank you my friend. I'll try this. I hope 😅.
