I am amazed at the number of hidden graves in Georgia. It must be at least 200 or more years of graves. Thank you for allowing us to join you in these adventure. 😊
This one was AWESOME - just think about all the days ,weeks,months... years ! Silence, No one comes,no one goes. No one cares, no one knows. Until, finally, this day...
No doubt there are many small family cemeteries hidden in rural areas throughout Georgia. It is very commendable that you and others are attempting to locate them and preserve them. While no one may visit these graves anymore, God knows where each one of His sleeping (dead) children lie.
I've seen many abandoned cemeteries on old plantations like in Screen County. Some would be out in the middle of fields slowing being eroded upon year after year. Tragic. I farmed some of the old plantations not far from the Ogeechee River. I'd find old plantation fragments. My GG grandfather was captured near Macon Georgia by the evil invaders of Sherman's forces. My relative did NOT own slaves, unlike the Harris family in Jamaica who owned slaves.
Great job 👍. Please carry a backpack with you. In the backpack you should have bottle water, non perishable food, first aid kit and identification with emergency contact information. Small hand tools such as a pocket knife, lighter or fire starter. Because anything can happen such as twisting your ankle, falling which resulted in bodily injuries, weather changes, etc. or even an old phone to make an emergency call. Always consider in case of emergency and things needed to survive. It's best to be prepared at all times. Thank you so much for your hard work in documenting the graves of loved ones from long ago.
“I’m Robert with Adventures Into History-of course we’re going to find it!” I laughed at how you said that, but I also knew you would find the cemetery! I love your enthusiasm for the adventure and your excitement when you saw those headstones. I know GA is hot and ridiculously humid, so thank you for doing this video for us!
I loved the look on your face when you said “I see it”! & “this is it”! I love looking for treasure and lost cemeteries are definitely treasures to me. Enjoyed your video very much 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How awesome! Those headstones were in pretty good shape, too. A big thank you to Dennis for letting you know about it. I hope Cecil can document it and get it on Find A Grave. Also, thank you for helping that little turtle get off the tracks! ❤
This was an awesome find, Robert! So cool to find and record this family. I enjoyed this adventure immensely. I'm sure hundreds more little cemeteries are scattered throughout the United States. Thank you for taking us along. I always love these finds!
Oh, I know. I agree that there are probably many more like this one. It never ceases to fascinate me how there are SO MANY of these cemeteries - documented and undocumented - out there in that portion of Georgia alone! It's mind boggling!
My mom said never walk on R/R tracks our shoes will get stuck in the tracks, train might come. I would go over in my head how fast could I get my shoes off😆. Great video 🤗
This is a beautiful family cemetery. The stones are still holding their glory. It really isn't overgrown or anything. It almost looks as though it has a groundskeeper eventhough, it doesn't. Those were expensive stones too. The Moore family resting peacefully. 🙏
I think you may have found a family cemetery plot that belonged to one of my church deacons grandfather. I will forward this video to his son who is doing the family genealogy. Thank you for all you do.
🪦That cemetery had to have been a beauty back in its day. So wonderful that you found a brand new (to you) hidden, forgotten cemetery! It'll be undocumented no more. A big thanks to Dennis for telling you about it!🎉 🐢 I'm sure the turtle was very appreciative of your help.😊 You've got a gentle heart. It was sweet of you to help him out. 🌤️Take care out there in the heat and humidity. I'm always glad you've made it home safe and sound after a hot, sweaty day like that. 🌼God Bless!
Thank you for putting the turtle on the right path. He was probably confused as to why he couldn't get to the water he smelled.....or she. Oh wow, those are amazing looking graves.
Thank you Robert for the walk and the talk. So happy that you found this cemetery. The Moore family is once again found. Thank you Cecil and Dennis for Your contributions 🙏 One thing I want to add, Robert please take a canteen of water with you.. Dehydration can be a serious thing.
Wow, this was such an awesome find. Thank you for taking us along and for recording it. Not only is it unsafe to walk on railroad tracks it is also illegal to walk on them or alongside them. Glad we did though. How else would we have gotten there? 😀
Beautiful surroundings on your long walk to the cemetery. Shout out to Dennis for giving you some direction. Thanks for bearing the heat, saving the turtle and documenting with pictures!
How exciting! I walked cross country to find a little cemetery that people know about,, but it was a thrill to see it in the middle of the woods. Your's was an even more exciting find!
I found this channel because of the "ghost" video being featured on so many paranormal compilations that I watched more in the hopes of another ghost one. Now, I love watching your videos because of how passionate all of you guys are about what you do. I've gotten my 9 year old son into watching the videos on your other channel. He loves watching about your farmhouse.
Very much like this channel. Have spent my lifes avocation chasing down old ghosts, looking at and tracking their lives. All have left me inspired by a variety of experience. We are all truly nothing more than the eyes and ears of an old blind and deaf god, giving him feed-back on his creation. Keep up the reports . . .
I wonder if John and Belle were husband and wife and the baby is theirs? She died just 4 days after John and they both died just 3 years after the baby. Mrs W R Moore died 3 years after them, 10 years after TW assuming he is he son also, and 42 years after her husband. Poor lady outlived her whole family😢 So thankful you found this cemetery!!
I think there are a lot of undocumented cemeteries. There was a small cemetery with about three couples deep in the woods where my family came from in Southeastern North Carolina, and some people went in and destroyed it. What is sad to me is that only one stone was put down in replacement for one male relative in the civil war. His wife next to him wasn't recognized, and the two other couples there do not have a memorial anymore either. And I believe they only had wooden crosses that were kicked and broken. I'm a descendant but not very close to the family that still knew any of the people buried out there. Apparently, they only knew one or didn't care to remark the others. I went on find a grave and found they had renamed the cemetery that was never even on Find A Grave before as being a resting place for only that one replaced marker. I did add a comment to the cemetery memorial in general that his wife was next to him and that two other couples were also there. Sadly, I do not know their names, but I am trying to figure it out. I am saddened by the whole thing. There are many snakes out there in the woods, but maybe in the middle of the winter, the track through the woods could be made again. There is no road or anything. It's only a latitude and longitude mark to find it now. I would like to put something down to memorialize the other people there. I just have to figure out their names and how to get there and, with help, lay something on the ground in their memory. There sure are a lot of evil people in the world that would do things like this. It's kind of sad to realize just how many people have been forgotten because of the same thing happening in many old cemeteries. These people died in the mid-1800s to late 1800s. It's sad to think of how many other people who have passed away in this time are also forgotten in our forests. God never forgets❤, but people do.
It's not just the heat it's the humidity! Cool finds along the tracks. If you go alone or with someone, please bring a brush and a battery for your flashlight. So interesting.
I'm surprised he doesn't carry a backpack with supplies on these outings. Never know when you may need a first aid kit, water, knife, flashlight, pliers etc. Plus he can carry a battery pack for his camera/phone.
There was diphtheria going around at that time; my grandma remembered her family talking about how houses were boarded up with signs that said the occupants were under quarantine.
Mother Moore's headstone, as you were originally walking past it, I thought it had an engraving of a man, with a photo of a child above his left shoulder. Turns out that it is just the algae & and mold formation. It's pretty cool. You'll have to tell me if you see it or not. It could just be pattern recognition for me. Thank you for taking us to all these wonderful places. I have been searching for a lost graveyard here in Cleveland, tn, myself. Be safe out there! You matter~°~ Also... thanks for rescuing the little tortoise ♡
Love what you do. Genealogy is one of my hobbies. Both sides of my family are from Buena Vista, Schley County, Webster County, Draneville, Americus…I’m still trying to find where my 2X Great Grandfather Jacob Johnson is buried. Road trip soon.
It's great that it wasn't grown over, but out in the open.. very pretty place and clean..they musta had some money to have headstones engraved with such beautiful designs and the size as well.. and kept close together..sad the fence didn't last over the yrs.. would be awesome to know each families history when lost cemeteries this old and older are found, where they from, how long been in the area, what kind of work the family did or business they had,etc..thanks for sharing 😊..

How can they be undocumented when people are buried there?
I am amazed at the number of hidden graves in Georgia. It must be at least 200 or more years of graves. Thank you for allowing us to join you in these adventure. 😊
Robert, stay hydrated. It is too hot to be out exploring in Georgia today.🥀
This one was AWESOME - just think about all the days ,weeks,months... years ! Silence, No one comes,no one goes. No one cares, no one knows. Until, finally, this day...
That one shot of all the graves with the spectacular sun shining through the trees is definitely print-and-frame worthy! ❤ What a great adventure!

How awesome! Those headstones were in pretty good shape, too. A big thank you to Dennis for letting you know about it. I hope Cecil can document it and get it on Find A Grave. Also, thank you for helping that little turtle get off the tracks! ❤
How amazing! The Moore family must have been well-to-do since these graves are very substantial.
I was thinking the same thing.
In addition to getting a peaceful feeling to that place in the woods, your excitement was palpable & I thank you for taking us along!

@@ginamaria2579 Plus it's trespassing and the railroad can have you arrested
😂😅
Cool. But I got tired watching you walk😊
I would go far as even breaking my foot. You can get by limping now and then, but not being hit by a train.
@@thystaff742 absolutely ☺️
This was so good of you Robert...More Souls remembered. I am so proud to be your friend ❤
Beautiful expensive headstones especially for an isolated family cemetery.
This is a beautiful family cemetery. The stones are still holding their glory. It really isn't overgrown or anything. It almost looks as though it has a groundskeeper eventhough, it doesn't. Those were expensive stones too. The Moore family resting peacefully. 🙏

That's a real beauty of a cemetery. Such good condition, probably from being so lost. Keep up the good work.
There was diphtheria going around at that time; my grandma remembered her family talking about how houses were boarded up with signs that said the occupants were under quarantine.
