THANK YOU! Great job. Marvelous way to hike the trail vicariously. You did the best job explaining the trail--where to camp, get water, etc. I'm going to check out your other series. Happy Trails to You!
Congrats bud. All of it but this one especially, your First. Great recordings. You memorialized the magnitude and vastness of many parts of CO most people never see nor can they imagine the sense of vastness especially southwestern beyond the Collegiates. Be very pleased and very. Proud! Thx
Hey Cornelius, so glad to see the last CT video. I feel like I've already done it once with you! I'm not even going to worry about getting much video, I'll refer people to yours, lol. You did an amazing job with the hike and documenting it. Salute! Oh - I had noticed your pics in the guide book. Very cool!
Thanks James, what a project it has been, it`s you followers who kept me at it, I`m glad I`m finally done, it`s crazy how much footage I had to go through for this series and the last series with music.I`m glad to be finally done so I can start working on my John Muir Trail Videos which is well over 500GB of Data (30 Days), should be a great series as well. I was super stoked that the CT foundation chose a few of my pics for the new 2016 CT guide book! Thanks again for following and all the great Comments, Cheers and Happy Trails
I'll be excited to see your JMT videos too. I initially wanted to do that this summer, but got to thinking I'm too new to hiking and the whole thing looked harder, a lot harder. Hat's off to you for doing both of them, especially living so far away, even had you not taken all that video. Very impressive.
CONGRATULATIONS!! What an epic adventure. Thank you for documenting your journey and sharing with everyone. It's very helpful to us! Now I'm going to start at day 1 and watch the whole series again.
Thanks Kary it sure was a great trip and am looking forward to many more hiking adventures, I`m glad these videos will be of help to everyone years done the road, I sure would have loved a series of videos kinda like this before i went on my trip and that`s why I tried my best with no previece experience with filming and talking to a camera, which at first felt kinda weird haha, but got use to it fairly quickly,Thanks again for following and glad you like the series. Cheers Kary!
WOW!!! Congratulations and big THUMBS UP!!! What an achievement :-) and thank you for sharing it with us. I enjoyed "walking" it with you. Best of luck on the PCT; enjoy and stay safe. I will be following and crossing my fingers for you.
Congratulation! What an accomplishment. I can only imagine how many people will enjoy this series in the coming years. Not only have you managed to provide one of the most detailed video series on the CT but more importantly, you managed to tell your story of your journey on the trail. I cant wait to see your series on the John Muir Trail!!
Thanks. The trail changes a bit every year and you should always go by your most up to date guide book but these videos will give you a clear visual of every section on the trail which I was looking for before I hiked the CT. This series of videos is a great memory of my adventure and I`m sure i`ll watch them again years down the road. Not sure how long it will take me to edit my John Muir Trail Videos but be patient they will all come soon. Thanks For Watching!
Awesome just finished watching on to the pct Colorado looks amazing I’m glad there’s more to catch up on your CT will be hard to top I’ve watched John Muir good stuff sir!
Congrats on making the hike through the CT. I completely enjoyed your videos and found them very encouraging. My son and I will be doing a portion of the CT next year. if you have any tips, we would appreciate it. If you ever do get back to Colorado and would like a nice hike. I would recommend the Barr Trail and other surrounding trails up pikes peak. I cannot wait to watch your other videos. thumbs up!!!!!!!
I am about to take a portion of the Colorado Trail via horseback. From Seg. 13 down to Durango. I am soooo looking forward to it. I can't wait until I have time to take the entire trip. But this is a great start. Great videos.
Loved the series....I did the JMT few years back...12.5 amazing days...last year was the collegiate loop and July I'm hoping to do the CT in about 23 days with my jack Russell...I'll be keeping my pack light as I need to do around 20-21 mpd....how we're the mosquitoes etc? Thinking about using my ul tarp but lil weary of the skeeters with this years snow load....
Thanks Richard, from what I remember the skeeters were really bad near water but and some tight wooded areas but I personally was glad I had my tent many nights. This year I will hiking the PCT Southbound and will also try and do 20 miles a day. Good luck on your CT trip and Happy Trails
Thanks Ben! I would love to Climb Mt Massive again and also hike the San Juan Section, I also would have love to camp at some more good sites with Great views, it always seems like the better camp site is up ahead and realize that in the morning when you pass it haha, I did have lots of time to complete the trail and had many lazy days which I really liked! All the Hostels I stayed at were Awesome! I would have liked to do some more fishing. Thanks for watching Ben
Cornelius - you, your spirit, your strength and fortitude are a real inspiration on this journey and playlist. I found the series super informative and really felt I was on the journey with you. The joy you showed on Massive when 'on top of the world' was so very special. A couple of questions as I plan for my CT walk this summer. 1) How many bricks do I need to pack to get to 60-75 lbs? That bag weight is mind blowing. 2) What was your camera setup? 3) That section prior to heading into Silverton seemed absolutely brutal. Did you ever have any thoughts of throwing in the towel? I know that section, so there is really no place to bail, but OMG - that weather!!! Keep being an inspiration! SJVISTA (San Juan Vista)
Great series! Did jmt few years back and collegiate loop last sept. I'm hoping to do a 3week CT thru this July. How well did the solar charger work? Since I'm on a faster pace will need to limit my town stops and need to keep my iPhone powered up as it is used for guide, pics and music.....
When did you substitute a lighter tent for that bomber proof Hille? Wonderful products but...... Can’t belive the weight you carried at those altitudes. Did you handhold that Sony HDX action cam or use a mini pod? Impressive camera and specs. Man a lot of work recording the entire trip. Saw you doing much the same almost on the High Route.
The most helpful series of videos I've been able to find on the CT.
Thank you, I'm glad your finding them helpful, I made them so detailed cause there wasn't anything like it on the internet about the CT.

What’s that squeaky noise? U said camera but what’s it sitting on a tripod? Congrads on the 5 pictures in the ct guide book.

I switch up my tents for the PCT, it the Hilleberg Nallo 2 was just to heavy. Hope to get a even lighter tent in the near future. Happy Trails Greg.
