I was lucky enough to spend some time with Peter while we were both entertaining the passengers on a cruise ship. Great singer and all around nice guy!
Hello Pete, sounding just as fantastic as I remember when touring the U.K. with you in "Only the Lonely" back in the late 90's. I was always so impressed with your guitar work using that old 335. Lots of laughs with Tosh and co. Happy memories. Best wishes Tim H.
did anybody ever do a chord/tab for Peter's version. I know it's in open E but I have been struggling for over a year trying to learn this version, I have managed some of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I came searching for an acoustic guitar tutorial and found your acoustic version. Peter, this is even more moving than your original recording. What a voice and what a musician. Thankyou.
One of my favourite ever songs....Obviously loved Allan Clarke's version~ Written by Bobby Scott and Bob Russell & first recorded in 1969. A truly beautiful acoustic version & resonant sound within the Church. Lovely interpretation. Thankyou Peter....❤
truly amazing version. So much feeling! Been a hollies fan for over 40 years and also seen them many many times in concert and Peters up there with the best. Deserves a lot more credit. Stay safe all! Thank you as well for keeping music real!!!!!
That was really good and powerful. I feel lucky to have heard this and seen the Hollies with Alan do it and I don't have to choose between them I can enjoy both. Thank You.
Good morning, Pete. Seen you with Frontmen in Germany in 2019 and thought this peice was the best of the night. (Which is not easy since there were so many good ones.) I'm just wondering which open tuning it is you use. Any hints? Take care and keep on giving joy to people.
An OK version but he was taking this beautiful song down the wrong road I think. Hollies are just winners here. Best other singing this is Paul Carrack check it out.
I dont like choppy singing, blurting out phrases, then swallowing the end words. Hed do better not to try to copy his predecessor and just flow. That said, he is a good catch.
He ain't heavy, he's a lightweight. On a more serious note, it's a decent enough solo cover, but once you've heard the real McCoy in concert, nothing else comes close IMHO.
Have to comment twice that was really one of the best performances of this song I’ve ever seen
what an amazing voice on this amazing song!
This is such a beautiful song... I always think of my own two brothers... What a magnificent place to play with great revirborations!!... ❣️

I listen to this song and for some reason i find peace with the world and my family who are all gone. God Bless each heart with mercy and forgiveness.
Awesome. Great singer👌
love that church reverb!

If this beautiful song doesn't touch you then you can;t have a soul wonderful rendition!
Had the good fortune to see Peter play live on a 'P&O' cruise. He was magnificent. Also did an amazing version of a Springsteen song also.

.....WOWWW!!!!!!!!!!
Peter has an amazing voice, great version of He Aint Heavy.
Thank you John.
Done well here as a solo. Original Hollies were beautifully in sync, instruments and voice. Peter shows the simple elegance of his voice.
Beautiful voice and he's nice music videos
A Hollie sings and play it so lovely....like Sandy...ans I cant tell......The Hollies find Peter 20 years ago....what a luck for Tony....and us....
Just wonderful! Thank you!

I'm here from Yonderland...
Negatus’ song from Yonderland brought me here. Wasn’t disappointed.
Open tuning with capo on right! Very nice, bridge bit too. ;-)
Many thanks!

Hi Peter
May I ask what you are tune to?
You sound awesome !
His voice sounds like John Farham❤👊
Great number and put over so well by Peter. However a little misleading with the 2020 date as I thought this was recorded back in 2016?
Thanks for your comments. The date shown is the date the video was posted to the channel, not the recording date. This date cannot be changed.
I wish Peter Howarth would perform with Graham Nash.
Do any guitarists know what tuning etc..this is in? I'd love to learn
Open E

Thanks for listening
Peter, is that a Fylde Alexander you're playing?
Not a lot to say; except very well done.
What guitar tuning is he in here? Relax, I'm not gonna try cover it. Just asking out of curiosity.
I think it's open E.
@@GabiM3112 Thank you. I'll have a look at that.
An OK version but he was taking this beautiful song down the wrong road I think. Hollies are just winners here. Best other singing this is Paul Carrack check it out.
He can sing and play guitar, if he had been the Hollie in 1969 first singing the song.......well the potty mouths would not be heard !
I dont like choppy singing, blurting out phrases, then swallowing the end words. Hed do better not to try to copy his predecessor and just flow. That said, he is a good catch.

I would agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong ... 😷
He's a decent singer but, I don't like this version.
Get your ears checked buddy.
I love this song but this is the WORST version of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" I have ever heard of!!
OMG awful leave it to Allan Clarke
Get lost Peter, you're no Allan Clarke..
lets hear "your" version
