Brian, your content is always awesome! Meanwhile, Dr. Boring is pushing out that follow-for-dough stuff and that peace sign nonsense (spoiler alert, folks!). That peace sign nonsense just makes you look silly and doesn't even work. Thanks a ton, Brian, for all your videos!

Good method..thanks for sharing.
And thank you very much for watching. I appreciate your comments.
Hey Gang, learn more about these and other shots our ON LINE POOL MasterClass at NWQPool.com
I love that fact that you called out all the technical tutorials on bank shots. I do gain insight on bank shots watching those videos, but I learn more from experimentation and intuition.
Thank you I appreciate your comments.
Gotta stick with high percentage shots, no doubt about it. Most players that say they wanna get better simply don't practice patiently. Play better position " ideal angle and ideal distance equals position " know your limitations ... it's often to late for reserve parachutes when upside down and backwards on a shot. Get in line, stay in line. Recovery shots are discovery shots
would love to see this guy play a real game. he is amazing !!!!!
Thank you for watching
It's interesting, I just play pool in a messy shop with obstacles around the table, just did today. I'm restoring an old Brunswick in my own shop, now, so should be better. I'm not that good, but (old days) I don't have to put my $.50 in often. I am better at those long corner banks than I am at cross side banks. They seem easier to me. Side pockets in general choke me out a fair bit. I did use one of your methods today for the first time. The counting to five method. Gave me a 4 side, carom to 5 corner, had to convince them it wasn't slop, as we don't play slop, but don't call. Honor system. Thanks. (The 5 was kinda slop, but I did get the 4.)
Real Pool......Real Talk.......
Thank you very much for watching. You’re a loyal viewer.
@@FXBilliards Your awesome. That's why I watch
As primarily a 9 ball and 1P player, I endorse this video. Great advice, as always, B.
Boom!
I never could comprehend most tutorials on banks (and I’m really good with geometry) for some reason. I’ve always banked intuitively because I can visualize where it needs to go but I can’t do any sort of measuring tricks. Love this video as it spoke directly to me for sure. You have to get that feel for it to be any what consistent at banking and your method works wonders although some people just can’t bank because they can’t visualize it.
Happy to help!
I'm an engineer and use feel vs the math. I'm very careful to not add spin, cognizant of speed but the math just doesn't always work.
I admire and respect the people who can memorize parallel shift for banking because I'm a person that can't memorize all that lol 😂😅. Sometimes I go by feel and it works
I first started playing in pool rooms in eastern Kentucky in the early 70s. If ANYONE tried to treat a shot like a geometry problem (joining cues, etc), he would've gotten the CRAP beaten out of him.
The old guys (they usually had faded tattoos from WW1/2 & crooked noses) would say, "Do the math in your head, Sonny! Now shoot the &%$# shot!"
I’m with you and if they didn’t get smacked around, they would certainly get laughed at.
As a 7 skill level player who plays a lot of bank pool and one pocket 85% of the time I bank intuitively and the other 15% I use diamond system and reference lines especially for multi rail banks and kicks.
Sounds a lot like what I do. Even if you bank intuitively, those diamonds are being used as a reference. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comments.
I like the cut of this man's jib.
Bryan, you are far too good at what you do to allow yourself to be frustrated by people that can't teach a flea how to bite. I listen to you because you speak the truth, unapologetically, and those that can't appreciate that shouldn't watch your tutorials. God bless them as you say. I like your style and your simple plain spoken way. I find you easy to understand as you express your points well. Practice, practice and more practice.I can't do it, yet, but I get the message and so I'm putting in the time and reps while following your advice. I will get there! Thanks
is the “p3” and the “p3REVO” the same butt ?? or they got a diff butt construction
It’s the same cue to the beat of my knowledge
THERE’S NO PARALLEL SHIFT FOR YOU BABY!
I feel like this could be on a shirt. 🤣
I will Work on that Shirt - thanks for watching
Thanks, Brian. Great attitude and great videos. Keep it up!
You got it, my friend - thank you very much
I love this channel 👍🏼
I've watched all of the bank shot videos on youtube. They're all helpful in their own way, but I agree 100% that there is no siver bullet. You just have to practice them, start with angle in angle out benchmark speed(different for everyone) then compensate from there to fit the situation. Harder, softer, more angle less angle, spin or no spin and how much. Stroke is key too, but gosh just try not to have to bank in the first place. I hate shaping for a bank, but sometimes, it's all that can be done.
I believe the shiny haired lady at the end of the video could out bank me right now.
Thanks for watching work on those banks and let me know if you need help
"No Parallel shift for you baby"
Take it to the bank Hank
Killer tutorial, B. Par for the course. Thanks, bud. 🤟
I appreciate it -thank you
THIS IS THE WAY.
Thank you for making the video!
Glad to be helpful- thank you
When I was practicing banks I remember I made like 8 of them in a row and I was proud of myself. Also the misconception most people have including myself at times is the shooting banks at the wrong speed. I always see them hit super hard and it's short or softer and it's super long. Obviously I'm not a bank shot expert because there's more for me to learn but when people try to bank I usually know if it's in or its a miss
1000% BEST BANK SHOT VIDEO EVER! That was all true and Very! Well said from the begging to the end. Also when you rolled the object ball down table and banked it that was Incredible! Thank you for taking the time to do requested videos. And it is always smart to play a safty vs a low percentage shot
Thank you very much for your comments and thank you very much for watching
yes this is very true. better to play safe or play for positon. but when things go off the rail this info is very important and spin will tranfer on banks
Yeah my friend said go for the safety instead of the low percentage shot
This is an exceptional video on banking, if you want to be consistent at anything you need to practice consistently.
Great video! Love your content as always!
It's easier said than done when you have a perfect table to practice at. 95 percent of the bar tables have some effect. Please respond
You really have to make a decision about the tables you’re gonna play on how serious your game is - and where you will travel to get to a pool hall. I’ve driven as much as 90 minutes each way to play on property equipment.
I see you were (or are) a fellow skydiver. I got in 54 jumps back in 1988. It was a blast. BTW your videos are top notch and very helpful.
I don’t have anywhere near 54 but it is an amazing sport. I did AFF.
All very good points. Speed also drastically change the the angles so much. All that being said. I really like to use speed and spin to widen the pocket. The more I can flatten the angle out the bigger the pocket plays. I know it sounds silly but sometimes on banks the pocket plays bigger with speed and side spin
Good tip- thank you for watching and leaving comments
"Its the reserve shoot." Go for the safety vs the bank. Love it! I think thats what big difference between good players and great players..
Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment
I like that bryan,is a good way to make 2 or 3 rail bank shots, like ur segments good info.
You got it. I appreciate you taking the time to watch.
Down to earth advice. Very refreshing. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Hey Bryan, remember that time a top pro did the parallel shift thingy lining up a bank shot? Yeah, me neither. I love your style.
I love it !!!!!
See the shot, know the stroke, shoot the shot ( monk )
Hey bryon, have you ever shot with a Rhino carbon fiber shaft. Just looking for your opinion. Thanks n advance.
No, I haven’t, but I’ve never heard anything bad about it
Thank you Sir
Always things to learn here! I love it! Thanks B Be Safe
Thanks, you too!
Have You Entered Some Banks Tournaments?
