Can you possibly, pretty please with cherries on top, explain how to turn on, reset, anything, with a broken power button??? I can get charge screen and broken cable blue screen when plugged into laptop, but nothing will let me get to that screen with the options without power button
I've cleaned the gunk from around a power button to get it to work again - Windex for a gentle cleaning and De-solv-it (orange cleaner) when it was sticky with sticky stuff. I've stuck a toothpick inside a powerbutton port when the power button was missing. I've gotten lucky by pressing super hard / super soft to get a broken power button to work. There are some small independent repair shops that have way more tricks up their sleeves and sometimes are more powerful than wizards. Good luck to you!
@@JasonClements thank you so much! I've been trying with a sewing pin to clean around it, but it doesn't have anything caked up on/under it. The fingerprint sensor stopped working a few weeks ago and it froze 2x the day before, not great signs! But I did find a repair shop that I'm taking it to tmr

Make sure your buttons are working correctly and are clean. Use an old paint brush or toothbrush if there is dirt and grime. Make sure you hold volume button first, then power, then hold at the same time. Let go as soon as you see Samsung Logo. Sometimes it may take a few tries. You'll get it.

Some people are saying with the new Android, you now have to plug in your phone charger - or connect to a pc. You don't need software, just connect - and then do the button method.
Also, if it is not that, then you need to hold the Power Button last when you are pressing the buttons.
