Das Klavierquintett ist eine wunderschöne und spannende Interpretaion dieses perfekt komponierten Meisterwerks mit klarem doch elegantem Klang des genialen Klaviers sowie gut phrasierten doch perfekt entsprechenden Tönen vierer ebenso genialen Streichinstrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt melodisch. Im Kontrast klingt der dritte Satz echt lebhaft und auch begeisternd. Endlich kommt der letzte Satz voller Dynamik und Bewegung. Wunderbar und atemberaubend zugleich!

Wolf Ferrari é mais um dos que deixam de ser razoavelmente divulgados. É lamentável que promotores e intérpretes mantenham no anonimato uma quantidade incrível de obras que poderiam oferecer alternativas aos sempre usuais. Aguardaremos que essa condição experimente necessárias mudanças,m para que não precisemos ouvir sempre os mesmos.
Wolf-Ferrari is a neglected composer. I presume his late-romanticism was regarded as old-fashioned in his day when the likes of Stravinsky, Walton - not to mention the serialists - were all the rage. The quintet could almost have been written by Schumann, not what his contemporaries wanted or expected. Today we are better able to appreciate the composer for his intrinsic worth, having got over the 'appeal' of modernism/serialism.
