Couple of things I noticed: - Oil temp is going very high, was surprising to see especially with all of the air ducting up front! - Is this car fitted with the 4.1 differential? - Sounds like the SMG box would benefit from the CSL tune and rev-matching. It makes a significant difference to performance on track, worth a try! Any other setup specs you can share on the car would be greatly appreciated - thanks again for the video 👍

Nice car. In my opinion after viewing the video, the shifting is not quite right especially on the downshifts. I suggest to check the "adaptations" first on the TCM and reset them in INPA. Another thing to check is the throttle position sensor. If this is faulty the shift speeds will vary. The CSL "255" tune on the SMG is a good calibration specification and it is easy to do. As @twarken5078 said, the CSL SMG calibration would be well matched for this car. And as others have said, the oil temperature is high. A full bypass cooler should be considered to replace the original cooler if high temperatures persist.
The owner of that car is also the shop owner who services my m3 and he actually does drive it on the ring. And since they already made a vid with himz it shouldn't be that hard to make it happen.

Car looked dialed for sure. One note is I bet the oil cooler on this car is full of debris or has too many bent fins not allowing proper air flow. In mine with bone stock cooling system at track days, my oil temps never get that high even after 30 mins and ambient temp of about 30 C.
He was faster. The other driver want good enough. Did you see the way he backed off later in the vid and then immediately caught up? He was in the process of picking them off. Straight line speed but then dicking about in the corners like these two gets you a few words in the paddock after.
Same here on my E46 M3 has been gearbox mapped, love the smg I have to have it as I drive left foot with a left foot accelerator my right leg is a false leg, miss manual though haha
I had one, decent mods for the track. Just too much inherent understeer and I felt like I was beating on it every time because I had to rev the snot out of it to make any power. F80 is the best, in my opinion, after having a version of each M3 except the G80, which is just too bloated and electronic for my taste.
Agree, e46 is a cool car but kinda overrated. For full track build with striped interior and everything i would probably go with a e36 with a turbo but for a road and track car yes F80 is greatest for sure.
If you only shut up for a second. I dont like it when drivers speak when they should race. It tells me you are not going 100% and also I cant hear clearly that beautiful sound.

What was the cooling set up like? I noticed the water temperature rise and fall about 20-40degrees Celsius difference but never overheating
