- Welcome to part 2 of my houseplants tour! I have recently gotten rid of a lot of my plants (to make room for more ofc lol) I go plant shopping at least once a week so I'm sure more will be added to my indoor plant collection... Eventually, I'm currently on a "No-buy" as of Apr 1 so we'll see how that goes lol. Plants bring so much to my space & I hope this inspires you to get some plants to care for as well!

I am hearing you water your plants from the bottom is this a better idea than the top or you just don’t the white rocks to turn brown .i live in Louisiana (Slidell ) looking forward to hearing from you 👍🥰🙏

Thank u! I struggled with mine at 1st as well until I learned they like bright light/direct sun. Since I've moved them into my south window they've been doing much better. Try giving it more light & water when it wilts 😉💕

Thanks so much! I just found your channel and subscribed. I love peace lilys too. I just bought a sensation. And there is a sensation jnr which only grows to 90cm. There's also one called a blue moon and one called lustre and one called mystique! I was thinking maybe the blooms on your peace lilys were affected by fungas gnat larvae attacking the roots? And the only thing that helped me when I had an infestation was to water with mosquito dunks or bits. Now every time I water I use bits or dunks in the water. I would love to see a video on bottom watering too.
Thanks so much! Omg it's like u read my mind! I literally JUST filmed my water routine I use mosquito dunks & bits as well!! Hopefully i can find time to edit & post soon.. But that is an interesting thought about the blooms🤔
@@KreatyveGardenista , and as well as mosquito dunks and bits, I have re-potted every plant with microwaved soil. The gnat eggs are in the new potting mix waiting to hatch when moist or humid enough. With the bits and dunks you need to use water that has been sitting out for 24 hours because the chlorine in tap water will kill the bacteria in the bits/dunks. Some people have used beneficial nematoids which work too.
Great info! I've seen ppl microwave or bake their soil as well.. Luckily I haven't seen a single gnat in months thanks a bunch of trial & error methods 👍👍
Your collection is awesome, I've been desperately looking for a zz zenzi for over a year now last I checked it was only available in europe.
Thanks I got lucky & found a couple in one of my local garden centers🍀 Some garden centers here will special order plants for you as well.. maybe try that if you have one in your area😉💚

Great tour. I like the pots and the arrangements. Do you have the white rocks on top to prevent fungus gnats? Does it help? I have horrible problems with them. Thanks.
Thank you! And initially yes they were to help control a huge gnat problem. Now that my gnats are gone they are just part of my aesthetic I love the way they make my plants look😉
1st time viewer beautiful plants. How do you check the soil for dryness with the rocks on top?
Thanks! I use a moisture meter or I just lift the pot to feel how light it is before I water😉
Your house is beautiful and I love the way you decorated with your plants! I noticed you top dressed your soil with white rocks and I'm assuming it was for fungus gnats. I currently have sand on top of mine and I'm hoping it gets rid of those pests. Did you use plain white rocks or are they something else? Thank you in advance!
How do you keep gnats away?
I just love all your white pots!!! Do they have drainage holes? If not do you place rocks in the bottoms? I am working on a white pot collection my self...Marshalls and TJMaxx are great stores for these :) Thanks for your hard work on showing all your plants..Good job
Thank u! And yes most of them do.. I keep most of my plants in a nursery pot inside of a decorative pot so I don't use the rocks in the bottom. I just find it easier to water that way. And yes 90% of my pots come from there too lol! Thanks for watching💕
