I used to think the same about fangames, but they took those down. Then I thought Gmod addons were safe, but they took them down too. Then Romhack Videos. Then RUclips uploads of music. They can do whatever they want, legal or not. Fan films aren't safe either.
@@CathodeRayKobold We haven’t seen a case where Nintendo takes down music since February 2022 the month Gilvasunner’s channel was destroyed. You know who else has taken down Fan Films? Paramount, they took down a fan film of SpongeBob while it was premiering live.
Your talent should be a beacon to signal organizations to donate to you all of the tools and hardware you need. I want to see you grow your talent with little to no obstructions and resistance. You are an inspiration.
I have to give this guy some dedication since he waited 3 hours & spent 111$ just so we can we can get the finest quality, only for the render to not finish and him having to render specific frames. If that does not deserve a sub & like Idk what does
Yeah that's kinda also my experience. Especially the costs shocked me! I currently use "sheep-it". It's a blender only farm and its a P2P system... kinda. You offer your GPU for rendering and in return you get back credits that you can use for rendering yourself. So whenever you're not on your pc, let the app run and render other people's stuff and farm credits. I think it's a pretty good system where no money is involved. But you need a good amount of credits to have shorter waiting times. Another option is to get sponsored by Nvidia and get a 4090 😅 But not sure how easy that is. Anyways good luck!!!
The problem with Sheep-it is that pretty much everyone looking to use a render farm is doing so because they have low-end hardware and want a faster alternative. Since the farm only consists of the machines of other users, it means that, more likely than not, whoever gets tasked with rendering your stuff will also have low-end hardware, meaning you'll save little, if any time at all.
@@GANONdork123 If you want to render one frame then yes. But for an animation, all frames will be distributed over multiple users and rendered simultaneously which definitely saves time. Even if some of them are on the slower side. Also a certain GPU is slow for one person but fast for the other. For example, I have a 2080 Ti which is kinda slow for my purposes but for beginners with lower hardware this might be a fast solution. In the end it all depends on the purpose 🙂
@@GANONdork123 No, it is definitely a lot faster than your own computer because your project gets assigned to many many many computers at the same time. I have had animations finish in 15 minutes that would have taken me hours to complete. For Sheepit to assign your project to more than 10 people at a time you need to have their app open at the same time. So what I do is I open Sheepit app in my computer, send my animation to Sheepit, go eat, and when I'm back boom, done. Sheepit literally changed my Blender life 🖤🖤🖤
Wow that is EXPENSIVE. I always just render out my animations overnight which works pretty well and is free. Always love seeing your videos by the way.
I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience. The corrupted frames are really unexpected, I've never seen anything like it in a render farm! I'm wondering if you still need help with rendering. I have a few beefy GPUs lying around
Garagefarm really is quite an experience. (I'm fortunate enough that whenever I've wound up having to use them it was for project comissions that I could subsidize the cost off of )but yeah, watching those credits tick down for something you'd consider to be a simple render truly is a vibe
great vid im sorry this happened to you also i was subbed to you when you had 500 subs or smth like that and i liked your vids and i said "man he deserves more subs then me" and im glad it happened
Is there really no way for a refund or maybe a free retry? It's such a shame to pay a company that claims to use a service like this that is relatively cheap and fast but turns out to be the opposite in both. They claim to do the work for you and you still have to manually fix their mistakes.
With the current denoiser in render en not using transparant shaders, you can suffice with a much lower samples count. Maybe 100 or 200. With the motion blur in mind and the compression youtube makes, I don’t think it would make the world.
Sorry you had to go through all this trouble. Honestly, it's probably just better waiting out the render overnight on your computer. Sure, it takes long, but at least you're guaranteed a successful render using settings that you are familiar with. ⭐
Yikes! i hate rendering problems! when i export my animations majority of the time it goes from 4K to like 480p! youtube lowers the quality to 1080p anyways but it better than 480 or lower!
I feel like render farms are marketed more towards larger teams, rather than individuals, primarily because of the pricing. Large studios often need to render their animations fast to meet strict deadlines because time equals money in the industry, in which case it might actually be cheaper to invest in a pre-existing render farm, rather than having to build their own and pay hundreds or even thousands of employees.
Unrealengine is what I use to render (its free) its fast and has realtime lighting but if you have something set up in blender that isn't about bones and weights there will be a bit of trouble recreating it in unreal
I'm a big fan. I'm proud of how far you've come. With how good your skills are, you deserve a way better computer and the best possible graphics card. You have the skills of a professional Hollywood animator (which is super impressive considering your age and lack of professional occupation in the field), meaning that a regular consumer PC is only a bottleneck! I think the best thing you could do in your life, as you grow up and learn how jobs work, is make animations with original characters or make fan animations and renders of characters from indie games, and make a portfolio out of that. Solely focusing on Nintendo IP may be more fun, but may also be dangerous portfolio-wise, and not only stun your growth but make some lawyers angry if you show it to people who would potentially pay you to do this full-time. Consider your options wisely. Remember the balance between work and fun. Even when you make animation your job, you'll need time to relax inbetween your working time. Good luck!
What's the hardware you're using for your local system? I've been genuinly curious and been wanting to get back into animation myself. I'm 16 but got discouraged a couple years ago and want to get back into it because of you
Honestly id definitely invest in a high performance pc system, with a nice nvidia graphics card. Otherwise you will have to pay a middleman or tolerate the lackluster blender performance on most macs
a 111 $ ? How did you think that instead of buying additional 2x used RX 580 that would render ANYTHING in around 20 mins, you thought that throwing out 100 bucks is a better idea ? I am sorry but I CAN NOT EMPATHIZE with you, I can only wish they would have charged you 1000$, you clearly deserve it.
I could have used the money I spent on that farm to buy myself a better mic 😔
112 bucks that's rough 😭😭
honestly might be best to just render stuff out before heading to sleep
